I am a highly skilled counselor who has had the opportunity to work with those struggling with substance abuse, behavioral disorders, grief, trauma, eating disorders, culture, and minority issues, anxiety, relational issues and depression. It is an honor to walk alongside those who are in a place where they need help to move forward, find well-being and achieve their goals. The owners Benjamin and Vivian work primarily with couples. They have been married for over 20 years. They know what it’s like to have struggles in your marriage as well as the difficulties that come with blending your families. Life is tough and marriage is tougher. Trying to figure out how to combine two into one can seem impossible. When you say you just want better for your marriage and for your life, they will help you get just that. You may be tired of feeling overwhelmed, you have insecurities, and you are struggling to communicate. The therapist here can help resolve your issues no matter how big they may seem.

For my ideal patient, issues pertaining to depression, anxiety, hopelessness, low self esteem, negative/low mindset, lack of self confidence as well as unwillingness to learn/be teachable are some factors that militates against an individual's progress. These identified issues often result to certain needs such as undesired behavior, self pity expectation, avoidance, searching to fill an empty void within, need of wanting to belong and be accepted etc. Based on these presenting problems, I hope to see my clients begin to believe in "A reset in life "

After earning a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2003, I began working at Steppingstones as a group therapist. While I am not recovering from a substance use disorder myself, I have an extensive understanding of the progression of addiction, the process of recovery, and family dynamics of addiction. In addition to addiction treatment experience, I find fulfillment working with the various issues faced by emergency responders, including law enforcement officers, paramedics and fire fighters, as well as people seeking help for mental health concerns.

I enjoy working with children who are exhibiting disruptive, defiant, aggressive, and impulsive behavior. I have a passion for including caregivers of these children in treatment so that they feel empowered, confident, and prepared to handle any behaviors their child may throw at them. I also enjoy working with foster families and adoptive families who feel their bond with their child is lacking and want to improve the relationship, while also minimizing disruptive behaviors.

All it takes is one step in the right direction for change to happen. It's not about the big leaps or bounds. It's about making progress one step at a time. You do not have to figure out life all at once. We do not control what happens to us but we control how we will respond. Adversity will come but I'm confident in your strength that you can overcome any obstacle no matter the height or depth, one step at a time.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Atlanta, GA who works with adult individuals. Expert in helping those struggling with life’s losses, traumas, and unexpected or expected changes. Specialization in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, as well as bipolar disorders and psychosis type experiences. I hold LCSW licensure in both Georgia and NY states, enabling me to offer telehealth sessions to people in both states. Clinical supervision for LCSW and LPC candidates also provided.
