Congratulations, if you're reading my profile or any profile then you've taken the first step towards recovery. Trauma is unique in each individual. Recovery is also unique to each individual and situation. Whether you are trying to recover from a traumatic past, a devastating loss or substances, help is available. Each person can be empowered to make significant changes in their minds bodies and spirits by collaborative work with a therapist. I utilize a holistic lens when treating clients, paying attention to the mind, body and soul. I incorporate yoga, meditation, visualizations and somatic breathe & body work.
Whether trying to recover from substances or a devastating loss, help is available. Treatment is client centered and tailored to the situation. Treatment starts with a focus on short term solutions for crisis stabilization and continues by identifying healthy coping mechanisms and adaptive cognitions utilizing CBT, ACT, & an IFS perspective along with EMDR.
Healing begins when new coping skills are created for long term recovery. If treatment has been unsuccessful in the past, don't despair. EMDR therapy is an evidenced based treatment that may change that. The telehealth office is a judgement free zone that will allow you safe and private passage through this emotional journey.
