Groups
Healthy Effective Loving Parents (H.E.L.P) Group
Parenting is perhaps one of the most difficult roles in society today. Our Healthy Effective Loving Parents (H.E.L.P) group is aimed at helping parents learn and model positive behaviors and gain greater insight into child's development and needs. Parents goals include learning to recognize the systemic nature of family interaction and discover that the best way to facilitate changes in their children's behavior is to make healthy changes in their own behavior. Behavioral goals of the group also include learning and practicing specific skill areas such as communication, problem solving, and limit setting.

Substance Abuse Group and DUI Classes
Assessment and Psycho-educational counseling to help participants learn about the process of substance abuse and addiction. Members learn how alcohol and drug use can impair judgement; create health problems; contribute to relationship conflicts, and cause legal problems. Members are assessed and accepted into group at various levels of substance use. Setting learning and behavioral goals are vital and they are asked to make a commitment abstain from substance use. Participants are encouraged to identify short term goals that will help them avoid alcohol or drug use, focus on developing the ability to use alternative coping skills, and prevent relapse.

Anger, Anxiety & Domestic Abuse Counseling Group
Groups are designed to empower individuals, strengthen assertiveness skills, and improve interpersonal functioning in a variety of areas. Group and individual sessions are tasked-oriented and psycho-educational in nature and aim to enable patients to improve communication and interpersonal relationships. Patients work collaboratively with the therapist to identify desired therapeutic outcomes, treatment goals, and learn new coping skills during each session. Counseling sessions are linked to cognitive-behavioral homework assignments intended to help individuals identify issues and problem-solve. Individuals are encouraged to discuss their progress each session and seek new insight into personal growth and desired behavior changes.
