We are passionate about personal growth and self-actualization which can emerge through the therapeutic process. We believe everything that occurs in life is not by accident, but are in fact lessons to be used in grasping one's own meaning of life. Although we tend to favor experiential approaches, our theoretical orientation focuses on an integrative style of therapy. We begin with the client gradually building a foundation of acceptance and trust that is both affirming and non-judgmental. A successful therapeutic relationship is built upon making a connection through engagement allowing a client the freedom to just "be."
Our concentration focuses on working with diversity, specifically, culture, gender, sexual orientation, and spirituality. We pay special attention to these integral factors in our therapy practice and encourage our clients to build their own self-awareness skills to ultimately achieve self-acceptance.
We have advanced clinical experience working with clients, predominantly within the LGBTQ community, facing life adjustments due to health and grief issues.
