I consider it a privilege to work with people who are struggling with difficult life circumstances or challenges. We live in a chaotic world where individuals are often not truly heard and understood. My training and experience has focused on learning to truly and deeply listen. I have worked extensively with trauma, grief and loss and chronic illness. I have also had additional training in working with couples facing difficulties in any stage of their relationship. I value the therapeutic relationship and our work together will be based on empathy, trust and respect.

I have more than 20+ years experience as a psychologist treating adults of all ages. My areas of specialty include, but are not limited to, depression and anxiety management; bipolar disorder; grief and loss issues; issues related to life transitions; and diversity issues. I have been helping people recover from substance abuse problems and addictions for many years, finding this work very rewarding. I am a firm believer in the Twelve Step model of recovery. I prefer taking an active approach in helping people resolve the issues for which they come to me. This will include specific steps to take between sessions. In believing that each person's story and situation is unique, I tailor my approach to the individual or couple.
