Dr. Amanda Wood is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of training and expertise in the field of developmental disabilities and social-cognitive delays. Dr. Wood and her colleagues take a collaborative approach to treatment, meaning that parents, siblings, and caregivers may play an integral role in the therapeutic process. As many children behave differently when visiting the doctor's office, Dr. Wood incorporates home, school, and/or community visits to better understand your child.
The Young Mind Center specializes in the early identification and diagnosis of neurodevelopment disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have a skilled transdisciplinary team that includes psychologists, behavior analysts, speech pathologist, and occupational therapist to provide a comprehensive evaluation and individualized recommendations.
Our practice follows the national best practice guidelines to ensure appropriate diagnosis and treatment. We utilize the "gold standard" assessment measures in diagnosing ASD. Our goal is to provide premier diagnostic services that are readily accessible. We also provide support and guidance in taking the next steps following an evaluation.
