I have expertise in integration of religion in counseling, both positively and negatively. So I actively integrate clients' Christian faith for those who seek it - in both techniques and goals (cf. spiritual maturity = balance of openness and commitment to God, self and others), while recognizing unbalanced religion is often part of clients' abusive past. So I work with my clients' values and refer out the few who can't work with mine.
I empower my clients to better get needs met - love and freedom from being controlled by negative emotions, issues or people. Testing shows the extent of problems and treatment needs including: what techniques are best? for what self-destructive coping patterns? is medication needed? and are deeper root issues indicated?
I offer Christian psychotherapy, psychological testing, sliding fees for 2nd visit on for clients without insurance ($40 min), and specific expertise in relationship/marital issues, conflict resolution, and in PTSD, DID & dissociative disorders and other recovery from abuse - sexual, physical, religious/cultic and emotional.
