Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation (LPCC-S) and co-founder of Cleveland Therapy Group. I strive to meet my clients where they are in their own individual journeys. As your psychotherapist, it's my honor to be apart of your therapeutic process in whichever way you may guide me. Do you have a child, pre-teen or adolescent or do you yourself deal with with issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or trauma? You’ve come to the right place! I work with ages 3-30! I help my clients by first creating a safe and trusting environment because therapy can be scary sometimes! Things we may work on initially are becoming aware of symptoms related to the experienced problem, understanding the implications of the stressor(s), developing and utilizing coping skills, and understanding connections between thoughts and behaviors using CBT modality.

I have experience working with adults and adolescents in an individual therapy setting, mentoring programs, group therapy services, community outreach and social service agencies.

I am a counseling psychologist trained in positive psychology principles, cognitive behavioral research, client-centered counseling and psychodynamic therapy. I offer an integrative therapeutic approach to help individuals gain insight into their lives and the skills to bring about positive change. I provide care to individuals, couples and families and consultation services to groups and organizations. I specialize in working with adults, especially young adults in college and early career professionals struggling with mental health issues related to anxiety, depression, sexual difficulties, gender identity, substance use and intimate relationships.

I've had the sincere pleasure of being a therapist for 35 years. Having worked in a variety of settings has prepared me to be able to provide compassionate guidance to people wrestling with mood disorders (anxiety, depression and bi-polar) as well as to those experiencing struggles in their relationships (marital and family). For the past ten years in private practice, I have continued to assist others using a variety of therapeutic approaches: psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, relaxation and coping skills, grief therapy and assertiveness training.

I specialize in treatment with the LGTBQIA+ population, trauma, anxiety, depression, sports/performance anxiety, and chronic illness. I like to use an empathetic, anti-oppressive, client-centered approach to support clients toward their own identified goals. As a member of the queer community, my goal is to create a safe and affirming space for people of all sexualities, relationship types, and gender identities. I am also a former collegiate athlete, and my experience with this has allowed me to provide support to student athletes.

I became a therapist after overcoming my own adversity and trauma.  I confronted the impact of it as a young adult through therapy where I was empowered with the tools I needed to positively evolve as a person.  I want to assist others in their struggle with trauma by empowering them with similar tools to confront the impact of their own trauma and to positively grow. I specialize in working with people that have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect. But I can also help you if you're experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, adjustment issues or gender identity or sexual identity concerns.

The Clarity Couch is a private counseling practice based in Cleveland, Ohio. Hi, my name is Aaron C Knapp, and I am a Licensed Social Worker and a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. I specialize in working with children and teens, 8-18 years old and their families as well as Adults. I have experience with this age group in a community mental health and residential setting, as well as having worked with juveniles who have been mandated for treatment due to juvenile delinquency through the courts. I feel that my experience with this age group’s needs from a developmental as well as lived experience has given me a unique perspective allowing greater therapeutic results. I am practiced in adult therapy.
