Clearfork Academy is a Christ-centered recovery community that serves adolescent boys (13-17 years old) entangled in the physical, mental, social and spiritual bonds of chemical dependency. I am experienced at helping to transform depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addictions, and other struggles through a variety of active techniques: Psychodynamic therapy with a Jungian orientation, expressive arts therapy, imago therapy for couples, action methods for groups, and mindfulness processes. With leaders and organizations, I use a dynamic set of processes that help to transform conflict and develop emotional intelligence and authenticity. I also am a licensed LPC supervisor and train facilitators to use these techniques with their clients.

Dr. Steven Powell graduated from University of Texas and attended Rush Medical College to complete his family medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He has worked at Barrio Comprehensive Health Center in San Antonio, as Medical Director, as well as Austin Regional Clinic where he also served as a board member. Board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Medical Association, Dr. Powell has had an interest and commitment to addiction treatment in primary care since 2008, treating hundreds of patients with medication assisted therapy.
