I have been counseling addicts and alcoholics since 1993. I have inpatient, detox, outpatient and intervention experience. I have completed many assessments for teens at college that have been sent hiome for evaluations and treatment if needed. DWI and DUI assessments and education can be done at YOUR convenience and not according to an agencys schedule. My ideal client is a motivated client, that want's to make their life better, or recognizes that his or her substance abuse/addiction is causing major disruptions in their life. I also enjoy the challenge of the unmotivated client that I can help through the stages of change. Individual, group counseling and random drug testing (on site) are regular practices, family work and education are important services that I provide as well. I have been working in behavioral health and in the addiction field for 18 years. I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked in several populations including, children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, eating disorders, addiction disorders, juveniles, and LBGTQ individuals. I have worked with adolescents and adults. I have experience with different treatment modalities including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
