I have over 20 years of independent counseling experience working with adults who have all types of mental health concerns, including anxiety, mood disorders, effects of trauma, and those who have abused or become dependent upon drugs and/or alcohol. I have also worked extensively with family members and other codependents of those clients. I specialize in working with clients who are battling issues with depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, grief and loss, substance use, relationships, medical issues and difficulty coping with chronic health (kidney disease, cancer, etc), effects of trauma, feelings of worthlessness, being lost in life, self esteem, self love, goal setting, finding solutions, loneliness, and employment. I also help people who just need to vent and get it out (talk therapy). I also specialize in helping people use assertive communication to help better communication with others for the betterment of themselves for the present and the future.

We provide child, adolescent, family, couples, individual, and group counseling. Periodically we facilitate psycho educational groups on various topics. Fortitude Counseling now offers Triple P Parenting Program Classes. Completion of this program will earn you a certificate of completion. At Fortitude Counseling, we primarily serve children and adolescents ages 3 to 18, and their families. We specialize in Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other modalities which focus on the treatment of traumatized youth and other social-emotional challenges they face. Depending on the specific treatment needs, we also serve adults. However, we do not provide services for adults with treatment needs that may pose a threat to the vulnerable populations we serve.
