My name is Adrian Dumas and I’m the founder of Helping Hands Counseling Services. I applaud you for taking the steps toward looking for a therapist who can best work with you. As a licensed professional counselor my goal is to provide a safe environment where you can explore possibilities of change in life and relationships. In private practice I provide counseling services that afford me the joy of working with an ethnically diverse community of adolescents, adults, and couples on various life issues. I strive to focus on personal wellness for the individual and/or their family, helping them lead fulfilling and healthy lives.
I have experience with adolescent issues, anxiety, biblical counseling, co-dependency, relationship concerns, depression, domestic abuse, family counseling, grief and loss, identity challenges, stress management, personal growth, self-esteem, and trauma (sexual/physical/emotional). Approaches: client centered, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapies.
