I have experience supporting people with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, thought disorders, personality disorders, co-occurring mental illness and substance use, and other mental health concerns. I want you to imagine leaving your home in the morning, navigating the busy roads to work. You’re tired, barely focused and dreading the day ahead. You pull into the parking lot of your employer, taking a deep breath. You grab your work things and walk towards the office. You stop, frozen in the sea of mental waves, a thousand thoughts crashing into one another, unable to organize them. Taking the step to seek out therapy, for yourself or your child, can be difficult. I am here to make this step feel safe and easy. I work with children ages four through young adulthood who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and/or other behavioral or emotional concerns. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with emotional and physical dysregulation, modeling and practicing skills to better respond to stressors. My approach to therapy is strength based and solution focused which encourages you to build the confidence and skills to overcome life's obstacles.

No one is able to "fix" another's mental health concerns, yet through support, encouragement, education, empathy, and understanding, you can have the knowledge and tools to reach your own personal goals. I have worked in the mental field for 10 years.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensed in the state of North Dakota. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from North Dakota State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Mary. I utilize many different therapy modalities and techniques which are tailored to each individual person’s needs. I work primarily with adults focusing on depression, anxiety and panic disorders, trauma, PTSD, and I utilize EMDR. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and I specialize in working with people who are queer, trans, or questioning gender identity.

When a person is faced with life stressors, it can be hard to know how to "act" or "present themselves." An ideal client is one who recognizes that something is not right and takes the first step in seeking help. That is the most difficult part. They recognize the way they are feeling is not how they want or need to feel. It takes courage to ask for help and I understand the process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming.
