Life can be challenging and sometimes we need additional tools, insight and support. Therapy provides a relationship and space you need in order to take a look at the challenges life has thrown at you and how you have navigated them so far. Do the skills you have still work for you? Is there something holding you back from living the meaningful, purposeful life you had imagined? Therapy can be a place to take stock of where you are, where you want to go, and help you develop a plan to get there.
Using an eclectic, collaborative approach, I meet clients where they are and together develop a plan that will help them achieve their goals. Among other approaches, EMDR can be very helpful to digest some of the stuck beliefs, emotions and experiences that can develop into stumbling blocks and keep clients stuck or repeating patterns in relationships.
It takes a lot of courage to reach out. I have experience working with trauma survivors, combat veterans and many others who have used therapy as a way to regain a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. Don't let the past define your future, you are worth investing in to be able to live the life you've dreamed of living.
