Not accepting new clients
Meaghan Barry (she/her) earned her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University. Her person-centered counseling style and humanistic theoretical orientation mean that her clients can expect a clinician who constantly believes in them and their growth process. She has a warm, encouraging, and empathic approach. She regularly collaborates with client family members to create systems of support in her clients’ lives. Meaghan uses a multicultural lens and takes an affirming stance as an ally to LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC persons.
Meaghan specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, having previously worked at The Healing Connection (Rochester, NY). In her practice, she utilizes elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Meaghan believes everyone has the capacity to enact change in their lives. As a therapist, she provides clients with the tools to harness the strengths they already have inside of them.
