Transitions Counseling provides customized treatment options for individuals struggling with Substance Abuse and Addiction Issues, Unresolved Trauma and/or PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and other Mental Health Issues. Intensive Outpatient is held in a group format and individuals participate for a minimum of 8 weeks. Individual counseling sessions are also offered to support their treatment. We use interventions that address the whole person. In addition to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, clients may also participate in yoga, mindfulness training, nutrition coaching, and expressive therapies. Clients are taught strategies for managing triggers and at the same time addressing the Core Issues underlying their addiction.
Our Adolescent IOP is designed for teenagers ages 13-17 struggling with depression and/or anxiety symptoms, risky behaviors, challenges in relationships, issues with self worth and esteem, and difficulties in areas of their lives such as education, family, and peer group. The IOP program uses a truly Integrative approach to treatment combining Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts, and Mindfulness Based Practices, and Family Involvement to help clients achieve their treatment goals. DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) Skills group for Adults. Group members learn skills based on 4 modules of DBT over 12 weeks: Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance, and Emotional Regulation. Skills are presented each week and homework is assigned to practice. The goal is building upon current strengths and gain new skills to respond rather than react, especially during times of intense emotion, crisis. This group provides support, but isn't a psychotherapy or process group. Recommended for individuals with history of depression, anxiety, self-injury, or other challenges regulating emotions.
