You worry all the time about being judged by other people. You feel disconnected from your body and, at the same time, feel like it’s all you think about. You question what you say, how your body looks, if you’re doing things “right,” and there are so many times where your mind feels like it’s on a hamster wheel that you can’t stop. You feel on edge all day and sometimes even feel like you may be having a heart attack. You don’t feel like you fit in anywhere. You’ve been made fun of before for so many different parts of who you are. You’ve been called weird or have been misunderstood at work, in your family, and even in some of your dating relationships. You’ve struggled to find someone who feels like a good fit romantically, and you’re worried there’s something wrong with you. You want to feel more connected to yourself again…
From the start, we want you to know that at Meadow Therapy, we believe that you have inherent worth simply by being born. Throughout your life, you’ve learned tools for survival that may no longer feel like they serve you. We can help you shift those survival skills using Mind to Body Psychotherapy. Mind to Body Psychotherapy is a mix of body-based work, exploration of childhood hurts, the neuroscience of emotions/emotional regulation, and various other concrete coping skills, that will help you and your loved ones tap into your inner resources. You already have many creative tools you’ve used for survival. One of our goals is to help you move out of survival mode into having a thriving and fulfilling life.
We offer inclusive therapy for adults, couples therapy, and group therapy. Using Mind to Body Psychotherapy, we can help quiet your harsh thoughts, soothe your racing heart, and calm your body. We specialize in working with trauma survivors, LGBTQIA+, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Trans and Gender-Nonconforming, Self-Harming, Addicted, fat/larger-bodied, disabled, kink/BDSM, and polyamorous people. We see you all as the flora and fauna that come together harmoniously in the meadow. Call us for a FREE consultation. We'd love to hear from you if you’re ready to explore your wildness.
