Do you feel like you need to reach out for help? Do you feel that you've exhausted your personal resources regarding your issues and feel there is nowhere you can turn? Have you considered therapy? Therapy is a confidential process where you can feel safe to talk about the challenges of life and what it is that is bothering you or causing you to need help. Breaking that barrier of admitting one needs help is a very important part of the treatment process.

I believe in the uniqueness of each human being and that all people have inherent strengths. I know when a person seeks counseling it is because he/she is feeling overwhelmed or stuck. In the safety of a professional helping relationship you will address those areas as well as recognize and utilize your own strengths so you can move forward to resolve your problems. I work with people on a variety of difficult life issues and I meet each person where they are at. In addition to helping individual adults, I work with parents, families and children ages 5-18.

What is holding you back from living the life you want?
OCD
? Panic? Social Anxiety? How would you act if fear, shame and distress didn't have such power over you? We can learn to change how we relate and interact with our internal world and decrease the power our thoughts and emotions have on us. I am passionate about helping my clients learn to manage internal and external barriers effectively and regain a sense of wellness and value in their life. Motivation is crucial in treatment, but successful therapy starts with a good relationship between the therapist and the client.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). It affects children, kids, teens and adults. Often the person carries out the behaviors to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but this only provides temporary relief. Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.
