I work with individuals facing anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm who want deeper healing beyond symptom relief. Many come after talk therapy falls short. Using art and expressive therapies, we help release stored emotions, process experiences, and reconnect with their authentic self.

My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by their emotions, relationships, or past experiences and is ready for meaningful change in their life. Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or difficult life transitions. They may feel stuck, exhausted from carrying so much alone, or unsure how to move forward. What they want most is relief, clarity, and a safe space to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

I love being a part of another person’s growth and healing. We all come from different backgrounds, degrees of traumatic experience, and have different stressors. As a therapist specializing in the APA approved Unified Mindfulness approach, I help clients develop the clarity, calm, and emotional resilience needed to navigate life with greater ease. Most importantly, I help people see their own strengths and integrate them into their lives, regardless of the difficulties from the past. By understanding your own motivations, desires, values, or possible confusion, we can work together to find a path toward healing and growth.

I hold a trauma-informed, justice-oriented, feminist framework, & use somatic modalities for working with nervous system regulation.
Using EFCT I help couples/constellations see & hear one another, build empathy, communicate clearly, & slowly demystify the patterns underlying relationship conflicts so that they can rediscover-or find for the first time-the deep & meaningful connections they long for. The result is a relationship with more safety, comfort, expressiveness & intimacy.

Is your life turning out the way you planned? Are your personal relationships succeeding? Are you finding the right career for you? Do people know the real you? Too often we lose track of how we exist each day. Depression over past mistakes or anxiety about what might happen in the future prevent us from being who we really want to be in the present. The goal of counseling is to help you develop a better relationship with your 'self' in order to improve your relationships with others. Check out my video on YouTube to learn more about my approach.

I use an integrative, person-centered approach, drawing from Existential, Somatic Parts-work, and Emotionally Focused therapies.
Hi I’m Elizabeth (she/her). I work with adult individuals navigating anxiety, mood challenges, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, yet feel overwhelmed by intense emotions, internal conflict, or patterns that keep repeating despite their efforts. I help clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. In therapy, we slow things down and explore what’s happening beneath the surface so change can emerge in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.

A clouded, anxious mind, a broken heart, a body that won’t quiet down. You have tried things and made progress, but you are still waiting for life to feel brighter and lighter. Maybe you are a young person under so much pressure, uncertain about the future, or you are someone who has endured so many hard things. Maybe you are just tired of feeling so much, or not feeling anything at all. You are wondering if a new path is possible. It is.

I use a blend of trauma-informed care, attachment-focused therapy, and somatic techniques to address both the emotional and physical impact of trauma.
Maybe you’re carrying wounds from toxic relationships and pain that started in childhood but still shows up today. Maybe you’re burned out from always being the reliable one, over-giving, over-explaining, people-pleasing, doubting your worth, waking up with a knot in your stomach, craving peace but not knowing how to reach it. I work with clients ready to stop the cycle, for good. Therapy won’t erase the past, but it can stop it from running your emotional show today. So that you can stop walking on eggshells, feel more grounded and finally breathe again.

You may feel weighed down by stress, trauma, grief, or the lingering effects of difficult life events. Challenged with anxiety or depression, navigating relationships, questions around identity, or simply the question of “what does it all mean?” Many of my clients describe feeling disconnected—from themselves, from others, or from the life they want to be living.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
