I work with folks from a variety of gender, sexual and consensual relationship identities, including: monogamy, polyamory, ENM, heterosexuality and LGBTQIA+.
I use an eclectic approach that borrows from several evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, MI, ACT). Sometimes we will work from the outside in, by learning new skills or working to change things around you. Sometimes we will work from the inside out, by unraveling and understanding how the past is influencing the present.

No one said life will be easy. As a matter of fact, life can be quite difficult and the pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps mentality causes more harm than good. My job is not to tell you how to live your life or to dole out advice, but to help you navigate how YOU want to live your life. My belief is that you, the client, are the expert of your life. Change is scary but necessary for progression and growth. If you're ready to take a stand for your mental health, I am ready to walk with you!

You are capable and used to holding it together, but something feels heavier than it should. Anxiety may hum in the background. ADHD may make school, work, or daily life more overwhelming than it appears. You might be navigating relationship stress, questioning identity, or carrying guilt and shame that linger longer than you would like. You want clarity, steadiness, and a place where you can speak honestly without having to filter or perform. Therapy can be a space to gently bring into the light what has been sitting in the dark for too long.

I work with relationships of all kinds to break long-standing patterns of conflict or to navigate recent ruptures, and I am particularly interested in supporting those who are exploring nontraditional relationship structures such as ENM, polyamory, relationship anarchy, and kink.
My style of therapy is intuitive, direct and constructive. I utilize a psychospiritual perspective to help my clients find liberation from dependency and ‘power over’ structures to craft more conscious and whole-hearted ways of being in connection. I am passionate about this, because I believe that collective healing begins with healing in our relationships.

Although I work with a range of clients, I have particular expertise and interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Since an online profile is so one dimensional, I offer an intro session for individuals to ask me as many questions as they like. I'm invested in being available and forthcoming (within a frame of professional boundaries). I feel unique qualities that I have are a sense of humor and a progressive world view that includes helping clients feel completely at ease and not judged. I recently attended the Trans Wellness Conference in Philadelphia, and continue education that is current and cutting edge.

You might look like you have it all together—but inside, it’s a different story. You replay conversations, compare yourself to others, and feel like you’re constantly falling short. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed at work, stuck in unsatisfying relationships, or unsure of your path or purpose. Sound familiar? I understand the pain of not feeling good enough and burnt out from trying to hold everything together. My style blends insight-oriented work with practical tools from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic therapies, allowing me to tailor our work to your specific needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Counseling should be a welcoming space to build ourselves up from our current experiences and needs. Through a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship, I support individual growth, insight, and change. I work with adults and adolescents 16 years and older. My clinical focus is on life transitions, anxiety, experiences of grief and loss, trauma, and well as stress management. I individualized the work done in counseling to fit each person. Open Relationships Non-Monogamy Therapists
Why might an individual want to see a therapist specializing in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?
A client seeking help with an open or consensually non-monogamous relationship will prefer to talk with a professional whom they can count on to be nonjudgmental. Talking with a supportive therapist may on its own help relieve some of the stigma and challenges partners face. That said, the most important factor in the success of any type of therapy is the ability of the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond. For this reason, an individual or couple could find success with a therapist who does not specialize in non-monogamous relationships but with whom they can build trust.

When should open or consensually non-monogamous partners seek counseling?
Like other couples, polyamorous partners typically seek counseling when they face relationship challenges they can’t solve themselves. In non-monogamous relationships, this could include breaches of trust, including infidelity; unclear rules or violations of boundaries; jealousy of outside partners; the stress of juggling the needs of multiple partners; or the effect of high partner turnover on children. Like those of other couples, polyamorous bonds can be threatened by increasingly frequent arguments, poor or dysfunctional communication, diminished emotional or physical intimacy, or the feeling that something is wrong, even if they don’t know what it is.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?
No, but individuals seeking help with non-monogamous relationships would most likely consult a licensed professional with specific training in couples counseling or couples therapy. Couples counseling and couples therapy both involve teaching concrete strategies to navigate conflict in relationships. A good therapist can engage both partners as they explain these approaches but can also work with a single partner.

How long does therapy for consensually non-monogamous couples typically last?
Couples therapy for any type of couple, tends to be relatively time-limited, lasting around 12 weeks on average. A good therapist will tailor sessions to the individual partners’ emotions and sometimes their past, along with patterns found to be repeating in the relationship. In many cases, clients should expect their therapist to assign “homework” between weekly sessions.
