I specialize in working with adolescents and adults mostly processing trauma, working through anxiety, depression, relationships, codependency and developing healthy boundaries.
It is incredibly difficult to ask for help. Unfortunately the stigma surrounding mental health is still alive and well. I want to acknowledge how brave and strong you are by taking the time to reach out for help. I’m here for you and would like to help you work through your journey.

I work with clients navigating anxiety or those who are looking for support during a new phase of life.
I work with people who are past the crisis point and ready to build something different: clearer direction, sharper self-trust, less time managing old patterns. Many of my clients are high achievers, creatives, entrepreneurs, helping professionals, or people navigating multiple identities who've outgrown where they started.

Hello and welcome! My name is Holly Carletti, LCPC. I believe that every individual needs a space in which to be ‘heard.’ With all of the noise, distractions and overstimulation in the world around us, it’s easy to feel unnoticed and unimportant. Being that we are all unique and important, we deserve to have the opportunity to grow and thrive in our own lives, in our own way. Three words that describe my style are: attentive, respectful, and compassionate. I feel passionate about building a strong therapeutic alliance and helping to empower the client toward autonomy.

I work to de-mystify the counseling space as a collaborative, non-judgmental, and welcoming place where life’s celebrations and joys, as well as its overwhelm and hardships, have equitable importance in the room. With a strong emphasis on rapport-building, I approach clients individually with warmth, authenticity, and an earnestness to learn more about you to bring a high standard of informed care to each session. I also seek to bring moments of levity to sessions when appropriate to find the light-heartedness even in life’s hardest moments, without eclipsing the emotions underneath.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply want to better understand yourself, therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and healing.
Each person is an expert on their own life, and my role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. At the heart of my practice is the understanding that meaningful change occurs when people feel truly supported and validated. When you feel heard and understood without judgment, it creates the foundation for healing and growth. I have seen how powerful it can be when someone finally feels seen for who they really are—struggles and all. From this place of acceptance and support, people naturally begin to access their own wisdom and resilience.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
