I tend to work with people who feels overwhelmed by their emotions, relationships, or past experiences and is ready for meaningful change in their life. Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or difficult life transitions. They may feel stuck, exhausted from carrying so much alone, or unsure how to move forward. What they want most is relief, clarity, and a safe space to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves more fully.

The most helpful therapeutic experiences and the most rewarding growth happens when there is a genuine connection between client and clinician. When working together you can expect that I will be empathetic, sincere, gentle and straightforward. I have an appreciation for the balance humor and levity can offer in a counseling session. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered. I will offer psychoeducation and skills support without leaning heavily on clinical language.

I welcome new clients, in person and virtual. I offer walking sessions and meditations in nature. My approach is grounded in the fusion of living from a soulful perspective while exploring actions oriented to living a life of purpose, passion and peace. As we navigate life, we often find ourselves caught in reactivity to life's stressors and lose touch with the essence of who and what we really are. This can lead to a disconnection from our authentic selves. In session, clients engage in explorations and practices which support reconnection and discovering their potential, creating a fulfilling and extraordinary life.

You may have trauma, relationship challenges, low self worth, or mounting stress. Or you may be seeking support for your child's moods, behaviors, or both.

I work with people navigating significant life transitions when what once fit no longer does, and the next step isn't yet clear.
Often there's a quiet but persistent awareness that something or someone no longer fits who they're becoming. Not because everything has fallen apart, but because something internal has shifted and can no longer be ignored.
My work is direct, engaged, and deep. I am not a passive listener, and I don't stay at the surface. I track patterns quickly. I offer a steady, focused, safe space to help you clarify what is ending, what is emerging, and what needs to change.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
