But did you know that hypnosis has very effectively been used for stress management, "anxiety", fears and insomnia?
All hypnosis. All the time. That's all I do. I'm not a psychotherapist, I don't diagnose you and I don't "treat" you. I do, however, help you eliminate negative patterns, conquer obstacles, and take more control in your life through hypnosis and self-hypnosis.

I warmly welcome adults at every stage of life into my practice. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, caring, and conscientious individuals who want more than symptom relief—they want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create a life that feels more authentic and meaningful. I am privileged to work with individuals across the life span including older adults who face both new challenges and unique opportunities: to let go of what no longer serves, to deepen self-understanding, discover what matters most, and live with greater presence, authenticity, and compassion. Age is no barrier here.

I help neurodivergent adults feel more confident, grounded, and capable. If you have ADHD or AuDHD (ADHD + autism), you're probably struggling with things like focus, time management, impulsivity, organization, relationships, or big emotions. Maybe you're still carrying those old messages from childhood - you know, the ones that make you feel like you're not "enough." You’re smart and creative, but sometimes your vision gets lost in the chaos. Trying to do things the way "they" say you should probably hasn't worked. I can help you figure out what does.

I work from a perspective that focuses on joining you in the present and, at the same time, putting your current experiences and perspectives in context by exploring how your personal history currently impacts your life. I'm happy to meet with most adults, couples, families, and kids as well as adolescents (just remember that no matter the age of your child, there will probably be some family therapy). I take a laid back approach, but I'm serious about your health. Please get in touch and let's see if I'm a good fit for you.

My job is to help you let go of what isn't working for you anymore. I focus on your current issues but also on those longstanding patterns that surface again and again throughout the life span and cause unhappiness. My approach is interpersonal and client-centered, but I also incorporate concrete strategies for symptom alleviation.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
