I provide couples therapy for LGBTQ+ & mixed-neurotype partners, as well as individual therapy for women. I love both!
For couples, we focus not only on what is wrong, but what's trying to work. While practical strategies can be helpful, meaningful change happens by transforming the emotional dynamic between partners - where couples experience one another in new ways.
For women navigating identity, self-doubt, masking, menopause, relationships, trauma, and the holding of so much labor in their lives, I offer a place to focus on their own needs, growth, and sense of self—space that can be difficult to claim in the rest of life.

Do you struggle with the image you see in the mirror? Perhaps you want to get some relief from the constant voice in your head that says you are not good enough. Maybe, like many of my clients, you want to be able to sit down for a second without immediately feeling like you need to be doing something else, something more. If any of these thoughts have crossed your mind, you are like many other clients I have supported to work with the over-achieving mind. Perfectionism comes in many forms; through body image, food, work, academics, athletics, even relationships and parenting.

The very act of considering counseling is taking a courageous step toward change. At one time or another, most of us have faced life events that can throw us off and where we end up feeling stuck. Does this sound familiar? This is where therapy can assist. Talking with a professional counselor can bring clarity, perspective, and hope. The counseling process represents a collaboration between client and therapist. We will formulate and implement action plans, set goals, and assess progress throughout the process.

I specialize in women's mental health and use a bi-directional approach incorporating the mind and the body into our treatment. My sessions start with a mindfulness exercise to orient you to the present moment, honor the beginning of session with intention, and practice helpful skills. The rest of the session is there for us to get curious about what thoughts, emotions, and behaviors you've observed in yourself since our last session that might benefit from some deeper exploration.

I provide trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming telehealth therapy for adults — especially women and high-achieving moms who are tired of pushing through, exhausted from masking, and wanting to live more authentically.
Many of my clients are capable, organized, and outwardly “high-achieving,” yet feel overwhelmed by emotional labor, chronic exhaustion, anxiety, etc. If you suspect you’re neurodivergent (ADHD, autism spectrum, or both), spent years masking, or are navigating burnout or life transitions, we should work together.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
