DEEP CERTIFIED At some time in our lives everyone needs help. It might be addiction to alcohol and/or drugs, chronic depression or anxiety, or temporary "life transitions," like coping with grief, personal relationship concerns, or employment issues. Just a life's journey takes many paths, so, too, does recovery--be it substance and opioid use, depression , and anxiety. Utilizing tools like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and brief treatment, our sessions will provide a framework that will allow you to move forward on a path that works for you.

Depression , generalized anxiety, social phobias, grief & life transitions are a few of my specialities.
I don't solve problems. What I do is work with clients and teach you how to problem solve!! And then we practice that skill together. No matter the age of my client nor the reason that brings them to my office, I want to be clear that this is a team approach. That having a neutral party to speak with; someone who will not judge but someone with whom you can share your concerns and issues can make all of the difference in the world in bringing about the changes that you desire.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression and confusion and are hoping for a better tomorrow? Life happens leaving us overwhelmed, confused and alone. When this occurs we look to others for help and at times we seek out an unbiased professional to help in the healing process. I have worked in many places throughout the United States and have treated many people regardless of age who are suffering because of difficult and or traumatic life experience. I have worked with military veterans, adolescents, professionals and individuals who have been severely traumatized and marginalized.

Hello, my name is Dr. Christopher Johnson. Sound Mind Psychology LLC is my private practice & I enjoy working with individuals dealing with a variety of issues. I have found that many of my clients seek meaning and purpose in their lives, deeper connection to others, or answers to difficult life questions. Over time, these issues can lead to stress, anxiety, depression or other forms of mental health struggle. When this happens, daily tasks can seem pointless and exhausting. I value meeting people in these situations so that together we can explore goals and solutions for the future. Please email me at drcmjohnson32@smpsychology.com

I have experience working with trauma, attachment, depression , anxiety, transitions, ADHD and LGBTQIA+ clients.
Hi, I'm Hannah! It can feel challenging to think about starting therapy and overwhelming to know what brings you or your family to seek support. What I know about therapy is that the best fit is usually based on the relationship between the therapist and the client (you). A lot of the time therapy is about how you feel talking to and sitting with that person. The best way to get to know more about me is to give me a call and let’s figure it out together. I look forward to connecting with you regarding traditional office based therapy or Ecotherapy.

I specialize in working with individuals managing depression , anxiety, and those seeking to change unhealthy patterns.
In these hectic times, we sometimes find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from loved ones, or "stuck" and unsure about where we are headed. Some of us even struggle with past trauma that continues to define our present. As a therapist my responsibility is to provide a safe and supportive environment promoting awareness, cultivating strengths, and encouraging lasting change. My clients would describe me as warm, genuine, non-judgmental, open, and motivating. My style draws upon an experience range including solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I work with people who have trouble with relationships, depression , anxiety, panic attacks, rage fits, struggle with addiction/alcohol, have gone through trauma, and grew up in unhealthy homes. People who at times wish they could escape life and need support to remember how to smile, or sometimes learn how to smile *for real* for the first time. If someone uses legal and/or illegal substances and wants to quit or not, I support your decision. If you want to ease your anxiety, anger, and/or sadness and want to feel happy, I believe you deserve that! :)

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
