Just think of Dr E as your "Behavioral Health Superhero". Superheroes see what's beneath the surface... what's behind your mask... the motivation behind your behavior. But that's not enough. Let's join forces so that you can discover these realities for yourself. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to discover your superpowers and learn to use them for your good. Together, we will practice the powers of forgiveness and embracing change. This will not come easy in today's society, but we will build a team around you!

I offer therapy sessions both in-person and virtually.
I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT). Prior to becoming licensed, I have worked in the social services field, assisting ex-offenders to reintegrate back into the community and make prosocial changes in how they think, as well as their behavior. In doing so, I use therapeutic techniques (such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral interventions) to reduce clients' resistance towards change and address antisocial cognitions that are barriers to their success in adapting new prosocial cognitions and behavior.

I believe that we learn unhealthy and unproductive ways of thinking that can lead to feelings and behaviors that are detrimental to the fullness of our lives. However, just as we learned to live this way, we can also teach ourselves to live healthy and more fulfilling lives. Through an of exploration of patterns and a CBT approach toward change, I move with clients towards a deeper understanding of current challenges in order to affect change in their lives. I provide an open and non-judgmental space for in-depth discussion of needs and special exploration of strengths and hopes to move towards a healthy and productive life.
