My passion roots in helping individuals with depression , anxiety, trauma/PTSD and relationship issues.
Struggling with self esteem, letting go, or emotional regulation? Do you have relationship difficulties or feel unsupported, or stuck? Let's Talk! Conventionality has never been my approach to life and my therapeutic approach is no different. If you're looking for a traditional talk therapist who sees you week to week without any real progress, then I'm not the therapist for you. If you're not ready to have difficult conversations, and do the work to get to the root of the issues, then I am not the therapist for you. I am dedicated to getting real results , true healing, and doing the work needed to help you get to your best self.

I have helped women with depression , anxiety, addictions, stress and trauma related conditions.
You had a vision for yourself and wanted to be living your best life. But you are thinking, “I don’t like how things are playing out right now.” Maybe you are feeling anxious, annoyed, your patience is short, and you are starting to feel depressed . It is possible that some unaddressed past issues are making their way into your present. It’s time to connect with someone who can help you get to know you better so you can understand why you are feeling what you are feeling and explore ways to help you heal. But the deal breaker is you also need someone who will respect your faith and your beliefs.

The clients I work with tend to be introspective, insightful, responsible, and intelligent and are capable of working through their life difficulties. This can be accomplished on a short-term or on a long-term basis. My clients "bring much to the table" but tend to undervalue their worth in one or more areas and may have low self-esteem/confidence. I have worked with very diverse racial and ethnic populations, including first- or second-generation immigrants from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, and Canada. I have also worked extensively with many lesbian, gay, and bisexual clients.

Life happens and sometimes we need a listening ear. Other times we need help with dealing with life's challenges and changes. Life changes can include (but are not limited to) depression , anxiety, stress, loss, personal, family and/or financial hardships. Whatever the concern and despite how you feel, there is a solution. You have to decide to take the first step. The bottom line is, if nothing changes then nothing changes. The truth is, it takes courage to change and to do something different.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
