My client focus are adults in clinical, family and individual psychotherapy sessions. I work with those with mental illness, chemically dependency and legally involved individuals. I conduct counseling and evaluations for families, individuals and veterans with PTSD. I can assist military personnel and their families during periods of adjustment.

Trauma shatters your world and the world around you, including your personal and professional relationships. Finding your wellness requires having a therapist who understands your needs. I specialize in working with trauma and its related disorders. I bring creativity and above all else sincere caring for my clients. With children, I implement and integrate play and sandtray therapy to facilitate and increase the child's confidence. For adolescents and adults, I create a warm self-honoring environment that increases in their ability to develop positive tools to navigate through their traumas, challenges, anxieties, and fears.

It's hard to know how to choose a counselor. I'm happy to meet for an hour or two at no charge to make sure it is a good match. Be aware that I accept Maryland and Federal Workers' Compensation. It starts with feeling at ease with someone, and feeling understood. I'm willing to be helpful for people who struggle with addiction, but I may need people to see an additional counselor for more focused help on this. One's thinking and beliefs are important, and certainly there is an emotional component. I find that people feel a lot better when they feel their lives are moving forward.

Dr. Lanham treats children, adolescents and adults across the Lifespan. He is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. In addition to his clinical work, he teaches Neuropsychological Evaluation to neuropsychology fellows and medical residents. He served 7 years as the Clinical and Research Neuropsychologist at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center site for the Defense & Veterans Head Injury Program (DVHIP). Dr. Lanham utilizes an eclectic approach towards treatment, tailoring interventions to meet the specific needs of his patients and their families.

I have expertise in working with survivors of all forms of trauma including (but not limited to) service members, veterans , journalists (awarded certificate through JTSN), childhood abuse, chronic invalidation, developmental trauma, intergenerational trauma, race-based trauma, and interpersonal violence.

I have over 20 years of experience providing behavioral and life skills coaching, crisis counseling, and pastoral counseling. I experienced and navigated grief, loss, and trauma. I assist individuals and couples in successfully navigating life transition issues in relationships and careers. I'm also passionate about helping clients improve their sexual health and intimacy in relationships. As a military spouse and a therapist of Caribbean descent, I am uniquely skilled in understanding and working with clients from various cultural backgrounds, and using various clinical models to help you implement skills for improving your life.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland and retired school psychologist in the District of Columbia. Served as an adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia in the Psychology and Counseling Department. Worked as a clinical psychologist with addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, and behavioral stress reduction at both outpatient and inpatient Military Treatment Facilities. My clinical expertise: clinical, psycho-educational, and comprehensive evaluations as well as treatment of child and adolescent behavioral problems, and mindful meditation.

Dr. Anthony specializes in treating PTSD and trauma-related issues, stressors of military -to-civilian and veterans ’ transitions, life transitions and aging, workplace stress, chronic mental illness, brain illness and injury, mood disorders, women’s and minority mental health concerns, and those experiencing significant emotional and interpersonal challenges. She has experience providing CBT for depression and anxiety, dialectical behavior therapy skills, social skills training, schema therapy, trauma-focused therapy, CBT and prolonged exposure (PE) for PTSD, and interpersonal psychotherapy.

Brandon’s clinical experiences are extensive & include work as a psychiatric technician helping youth survivors of sexual trauma, an event coordinator, vocational trainer, & life skills coordinator for the Latin American Youth Center, as well as social worker & program manager for a semi-independent living program in PG County, Maryland. He concentrated his education in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Motivational Interviewing (MI), which he integrates in therapy.
