It is important for an individual to be free from the fear that does not allow one to reach a place of understanding and self-acceptance. When a client expresses, they are ready for a change, I will “meet them where they are at” in the therapeutic process. I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families with a range of presenting problems with various levels of severity, including but not limited to adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-harm, ADHD, Separation Anxiety Disorder, OCD, and various behavioral problems. I try to meet each individual's needs by assessing where he/she is in his/her readiness for change. I primarily use an integrative approach to therapy with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral theory. I frequently use play therapy when working with children. I also conduct family therapy and I have expertise in psychological testing.
