Shelley A. O'Connor is not currently accepting new clients.
About
May 2022 - I am not accepting clients at this time. Life can be challenging sometimes. Helping clients get to a better path or place in life is my goal. With over 20 years as a mental health therapist, I work with clients to help them cope with and find working strategies to deal with struggles and challenges. My therapy style is interpersonal, goal-directed and strengths-based.
I see mostly individuals, but will see connected family for supportive sessions. I am LBGTQ+ fully-affirming and positively work with lgbtq+ teen and adult clients and their families. I complete bariatric surgery evaluations, and see clients who desire to prepare for surgery and accompanied life change.
Insurances I take for individuals are CareFirst, BCBS, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, Cigna/Evernorth, Medicare, and private pay/out-of-network. I take clients on a space available basis. Email is the easiest way to reach me. Thanks, Shelley.
