Being able to provide good therapy requires that the therapist has a strong knowledge base and a good set of skills. My education and training and 30 years of experience in the field are central to my ability to help you. I have degrees from Harvard University and University of Michigan. I also have experience with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and training in family and couples therapy through the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. In addition, I completed a Fellowship at the Baltimore-Washington Psychoanalytic Institute.
But perhaps more important are the therapist's personal traits; previous patients have described me as warm, empathic, nonjudgmental and insightful. I believe that therapy is a partnership between therapist and patient; the most important factor in the healing process is the strength of the relationship between therapist and patient.
I hope you'll go to my website at www.janetmoos-therapy.com or call me at 410-433-3129 if you have further questions. Thank you!
