Karl (he/his) is a National Board-Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. He earned a Master's Degree and Educational Specialist in Community Counseling from James Madison University. He has over twenty years of counseling experience in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, private practice, community-based, and telehealth. He specializes in the areas of anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress management, trauma, and LBTQIA+ and/or DEI-related issues.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience in helping people become empowered and make positive change in their lives. I work from a strengths and person centered perspective. I have 18 years of counseling in grief and loss through my positions as hospice social worker and bereavement manager. I have experience with adolescent pregnancy issues and children's bereavement needs. My passion is to assist clients with identifying their concerns, developing a course of treatment goals and following through to positive results.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience. I specialize in the use of EMDR, BSP (Brain Spotting), Internal Family Systems Therapy as well as RLT, AEDP, DBT, and ERP. I am also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach. As a former D1 athlete, my approach to psychotherapy is a holistic one. I have been practicing for 18 years, and have a very strong expertise in relationships (couples therapy, relationship conflict, infidelity, divorce, dating). I also specialize in addictions and working with high-achieving individuals. My approach involves helping clients develop insight about why they are finding themselves "stuck," while also teaching useful skills that facilitate behavior change; both are crucial for lasting change to occur. Dr. Ulrich is using the latest technology to provide a new way to support separated or divorced parents navigating their separation for the best interest of their children including co-parenting therapy and parenting coordination. Using secure video conferencing, Dr. Ulrich assists parents and families in navigating their current environments in a healthy, adaptive manner to minimize further conflict or trauma. Dr. Ulrich also provides remote parent coaching for a wide range of child problems and specializes in parenting support for developmental trauma, reactive attachment disorder, and adoption/foster care families.
