I integrate talk therapy, art therapy & brainspotting in a flexible way based on each client’s needs.
Support for grief, ambiguous loss, trauma, and men’s mental health. Many of the people I work with are grieving something hard to explain, processing trauma that shaped how they cope and connect, or trying to understand who they are after life has changed. Some are parents processing the emotional impact of a child’s diagnosis. Others are carrying loss, relational pain, or old survival patterns that no longer fit the life they want to live.

Do you struggle with anxiety that affects your day to day life at work and in relationships? Do you feel exhausted by the never ending dialogue that runs through your head non-stop? Do you wonder if there is more to life, that somehow it should fee better? Calmer? More than ever, people are feeling worried and overwhelmed about all the "what if's" in life and how to manage it all. Staying on the constant hamster wheel can lead to burnout and long term issues that affect your mind and body. It doesn't have to be so hard to live a better life.

I’m so glad you’re here. Life is full of transitions and complexities—relationships shift, family and work dynamics evolve, losses emerge, and stressors can pile up, leaving us feeling lost in the fog. If that resonates with you, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. At the heart of my work, I’m a human being—bringing lived experience alongside a deep commitment to equity, healing justice, and cultural humility. It is a sacred honor to hold space for the full spectrum of human experience: grief, joy, confusion, resilience, and everything in between.

I utilize CBT and ACT along with expressive techniques such as play therapy, art therapy, music, and writing for those times when talking is not the easiest.
Hello! You've taken the first step (which is the hardest), let's try to make this a bit easier. Opening up and discussing things that have been bothering you is difficult. It helps when you can be genuine and authentic without fear of judgement or criticism. I aim to help you feel seen; to feel supported in your goals and in your person-hood. Everyone deserves dignity and respect. Everyone has different needs. I aim to embrace those ideas in session. YOU are the expert on you. I am just the tool to be utilized to help you achieve the life you want.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
