My approach integrates a range of powerful, cutting-edge modalities including hypnotherapy, parts work, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and cognitive restructuring.
For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of becoming a resource in thousands of people’s lives, which is a responsibility I hold with deep reverence. I approach each individual with profound respect for their unique layers and complexities, and I consider it a sacred process to gently witness and support their unfolding. This work has also been a mirror for my own growth, both spiritually and psychodynamically. Because of this, I understand that healing is not a quick fix, but a commitment. I’m passionate about helping people shift from patterns of limited thinking into a state of greater empowerment and self-compassion.

In 1987, I started the Life Mastery Center to help people in their journey to find happiness and fulfillment in life. Life is undoubtedly stressful and can bring about feelings of depression and anxiety. These feelings can affect relationships at home, at work, at school. I believe that through the positive therapeutic process, one can get unstuck from negative habits, negative barriers, negative mindsets. The positive therapeutic process helps to identify the problems and build positive life skills that will lead to a happier, healthier, fulfilling life.

8am appointments! Many of the women I work with are highly capable leaders who feel they must conceal their vulnerabilities to protect themselves and others. They hold senior roles, carry significant responsibility, and navigate complex professional and personal relationships with limited space to be fully honest. As visibility and influence increase, so do relational and political challenges. The need for trustworthy, soft spaces becomes an imperative in order to sustain. Therapy offers a confidential place to slow down, clarify values, strengthen boundaries, and make thoughtful decisions rather than reactive ones.

EMDR trained, IFS trained, Certified in Mother-Daughter Attachment, Transformational Life Coach, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSA), & Hypnotherapy.
She's stopped talking to you. She's alive but feels dead in your life, she is your mom and you are living with ambiguous loss. You hear about her and maybe sometimes you hear from her. It's really complicated, confusing and painful. As a woman who leads and has done therapy, coaching, self-help, you still feel a familiar struggle inside. You're accomplished, self-aware, yet you rehash the past constantly, and it's draining the light in you. Something keeps happening in your relationships with other women. This pull to distrust, to please, to brace for disappointment is part of losing that maternal support and becoming unmothered.

I blend clinical depth with mindfulness, somatic awareness, and hypnotherapy to move past surface-level coping.
Something cracked your life open. Maybe a divorce you didn't see coming, or the realization that you've built a successful life that doesn't feel like yours. The strategies that used to work have quietly stopped working. You're not falling apart. You're at a threshold. I work with men navigating divorce, identity disruption, and the gap between achievement and inner truth. With 20+ years of experience and my own walk through these transitions, I offer something deeper than coping strategies. We find what's actually generating the pain and we shift it.

"There is the inside , there is the outside and then there is the bridge between the two." I work extensively with PTSD, addiction and trauma recovery. I have over 25 years of experience with EMDR. Panic attacks, addictions, nightmares and social phobia are also a large part of the work I do. I utilize emdr because talk therapy sometimes simply doesn't work.

Let's be honest, life is hard. REALLY hard. But when you are quietly navigating an emotionally draining relationship, a high-conflict separation, or the exhausting identity shift of motherhood, life can feel completely overwhelming. You came into this chapter feeling capable, but now a constant sense of fear, self-doubt, and hypervigilance has crept in. Even if you look perfectly "fine" on the outside, your mind is constantly spinning. This nonstop mental noise keeps you trapped. Relationships suffer because you’re emotionally exhausted, and your performance at work slips because you can't focus. Everything suffers.

HypnoTherapy
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by using guided hypnosis to help you reach a state of focus and concentration through mental imagery and soothing verbal repetition. The state is somewhat like being absorbed in a book, a movie, or your own thoughts. You are not under a therapist’s “control,” but they can help you relax and turn your attention inward to discover the resources to achieve behavior change or better manage psychological concerns. Therapy sessions may involve guiding you through recognizing a problem, releasing problematic thoughts about it, and considering and accepting more productive alternatives before returning to normal awareness. Hypnotherapy is typically used by a therapist along with traditional forms of talk therapy. Eventually, your therapist can help you learn hypnotherapy techniques yourself so you can establish a stronger sense of control on your own in stressful or challenging moments.

Is hypnotherapy the same as hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy, which is sometimes called hypnotic suggestion, is a therapeutic technique in which a therapist uses hypnosis to help patients. It is not the kind of hypnosis portrayed in stage shows, or in movies or on television. You will not be unconscious or asleep during hypnotherapy, you will not lose control of yourself, your thoughts, or your free will, and you will be able to fully recall your experience. And while you will hear your therapist’s suggestions, it is always up to you to decide whether to act on them. Hypnosis by a trained mental-health professional is not a form of mind control, which is impossible to achieve anyway.

Can everyone be hypnotized?
The most common challenge of hypnotherapy is that as many as one in four people cannot be hypnotized. Brain imaging has confirmed differences in patterns of brain connectivity between those who respond to hypnotism and those who do not. Other people who could potentially be hypnotized may not respond to the technique because of their skepticism or resistance to entering a hypnotic state. If a therapist’s “post-hypnotic suggestion” is effective, it’s because they are suggesting something you want to achieve.

Does hypnotherapy work?
Through hypnotherapy, you can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. Like other talk therapy techniques, when hypnotherapy succeeds, it’s a case of mind over matter. Effective hypnotherapy involves self-healing because you access resources you need to change inside of yourself and learn how to tap into them whenever you need. Hypnotherapy has been shown to be an effective therapy for anxiety, phobias, stress, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual dysfunction, and undesirable behaviors like smoking. It can be used to help improve sleep or to address relationship challenges, and to aid with pain management, digestive disorders, skin conditions, and the gastrointestinal side effects of pregnancy or chemotherapy.
