I love working with kids (9 and up), adolescents, adults, and their families. I help my patients identify their own strengths and use them to overcome mental health challenges. I strongly believe that every child has the capacity to heal in their family environment, and that their parents deserve a compassionate and competent provider who can help them overcome difficult behaviors. I also work with adults, particularly those diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. My patients are typically suffering from extreme emotional and interpersonal dysregulation. I help them learn to regulate their emotions and mend relationships.

My ideal client is one who has psychological mindedness to seek help & attains mental stability & self-acceptance to overcome their distress. I have the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients (children, adolescents, and adults) in providing appropriate interventions, targeting recovery & progress. I provide specialized evidence-based intervention for clients diagnosed with anxiety (OCD, panic attacks & social anxiety), depression, grief, trauma and PTSD, addiction, schizophrenia, bipolar & personality disorders ( BPD ), Alzheimer's & dementia including caretaking burden of the family to improve their quality of life.

TELETHERAPY APPOINTMENTS. I am an experienced, mature therapist who has provided therapy to those fighting addictions and mental health issues for over 15 years. I offer supportive counseling combined with assessment, planning and evidence-based techniques (CBT, DBT) to teach clients new ways to cope and move forward toward their goals. Over the course of my career, I have worked in urban, rural, and suburban communities, under government-funded grants, and through private funding in homes, schools, and residential treatment. Using an integrative approach that is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and family systems oriented, I draw from attachment theory, neurobiology research, systems theory, cognitive-behavioral theory, and existentialism. I also am an approved clinical supervisor in Maryland.
