Dr. Lanham treats children, adolescents and adults across the Lifespan. He served for 13 years as an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he taught Neuropsychological Evaluation to neuropsychology fellows and medical residents. Prior to that, he served 7 years as the Clinical and Research Neuropsychologist at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center site for the Defense & Veterans Head Injury Program (DVHIP). Dr. Lanham utilizes an eclectic approach towards treatment, tailoring interventions to meet the specific needs of his patients and their families.

I have been working with children and adolescents for over 30 years, specializing in the evaluation of anxiety, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and other areas of difficulty that children experience. There are many reasons a family seeks services for their child, and it is important for the family to feel that the psychologist understands them, their child, and the needs of the family. I seek to gain this understanding, recognizing the fact that all children and families are unique, and that each individual has strengths to draw from to overcome the identified concerns.

Making the decision to help a child or teen who is struggling academically, behaviorally, socially and/or emotionally may be the most important decision you make. I see each child/teen as a puzzle. Sometimes the pieces fit together perfectly and other times it is necessary to work really hard to find the right piece to complete the puzzle. I use a variety of techniques - play therapy, sand therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe that a child is part of a larger system, including parents, siblings, and schools. I strive to work with all aspects of a child's world.

My name is Rachael Arowolo, PhD, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I believe that separation and divorce impact the entire family, and it’s my job to work with couples to resolve difficult issues in a respectful, positive manner. This service includes a comprehensive report, including recommendations and accommodations for academic success.
