I’m currently accepting new clients from MD for online sessions, with set slots and flexibility week to week. Because of my own life experience (HI, MTHFR, MCAS, mold poisoning), I work with people with chronic illness. So many of us have been medically gaslit and even shamed for the way our own bodies work, and of course this affects our mental health! I take a holistic, integrative, and functional approach to mental health, recognizing that our well-being is shaped by biological, psychological, environmental, spiritual, and cultural influences. My clients are seekers who want to heal, and they are looking for someone to walk with.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness Training in my practice.
Helping adolescents, men and women feel understood, grounded, and mentally strong is at the center of my work. I provide a supportive and direct approach to therapy that helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, self-esteem, anger, and major life transitions. Many men, women and teens struggle silently or feel pressure to keep emotions to themselves. Therapy can be a place to reset, build healthier coping skills, and gain tools that actually fit real life. I aim to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest without judgment.

Perhaps you find you're experiencing adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, sadness, daily life conflicts or career issues. Maybe you're facing uncertainty or you're at a transition or turning point in your life. The complicated feelings of distress, anxiety, depression can be immobilizing. At Aeris Counseling, I see therapy as a space shaped by change — much like clouds in the sky. Clouds remind me that life is layered, ever-shifting, and always moving toward new forms. In the same way, I believe therapy offers room to hold what feels heavy, to notice what is transforming, and to discover new ways of being. You may be carrying grief, navigating cultural transitions, adjusting to family dynamics, living with chronic pain, or facing fertility and postpartum challenges. The first step into therapy is often the hardest — it doesn’t require clarity, just openness. And by being here, you’ve already begun.

Not all childhoods are created equally. We all deserve the space and support we need to develop and explore our sense of self, but when you're chronically in survival mode, identity gets deprioritized in favor of safety. If you're noticing yourself feeling held back by your trauma, I want to help you reclaim your life. Our sessions will help you recognize and validate your strengths, confront your problems with gentle accountability, and establish actionable steps towards real change. If therapy seems overwhelming to you, I want you to know we can find ways to make the scary seem approachable and the confusing seem comprehensible.

You may be the dependable one in your relationships, your family, or your work. The one who figures it out. The one who does not want to burden anyone. The one who keeps going. But underneath that, there may be a constant stream of pressure: replaying what you said, wondering whether you disappointed someone, questioning whether you are doing enough, and struggling to rest without feeling behind. Even when you are functioning, it may not feel like ease. Carrying this kind of pressure, it has to go somewhere. It might show up as overworking, avoiding things you don’t want to deal with, shutting down, or habits you’re not proud of.

My approach connects people with their power using positive psychology, EMDR, EFT, BrainSpotting, Internal Family Systems as well as mindfulness practices
Clients find me when going through periods of reinvention, transition + when they are craving an authentic life. I work with women who feel unsettled and anxious, yet crave peace & are willing to go on a truth seeking mission to find it. Many are highly sensitive humans who are ready to create their own narrative in order to live potently & vibrantly. I believe the therapeutic process is about losing what is no longer needed rather than changing perceived flaws. My style is direct, lively & collaborative; assisting those who want to reclaim themselves & live from their heart.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
