At Aeris Counseling, I see therapy as a space shaped by change — much like clouds in the sky. Clouds remind me that life is layered, ever-shifting, and always moving toward new forms. In the same way, I believe therapy offers room to hold what feels heavy, to notice what is transforming, and to discover new ways of being.
You may be carrying grief, navigating cultural transitions, adjusting to family dynamics, living with chronic pain, or facing fertility and postpartum challenges. The first step into therapy is often the hardest — it doesn’t require clarity, just openness. And by being here, you’ve already begun.

If you're noticing yourself feeling held back by your trauma, I want to help you reclaim your life. Our sessions will help you recognize and validate your strengths, confront your problems with gentle accountability, and establish actionable steps towards real change. If therapy seems overwhelming to you, I want you to know we can find ways to make the scary seem approachable and the confusing seem comprehensible.

Life is way too short to feel like your best isn't good enough. Too short to fear you will not be accepted as you are and feel as though you have to live in your own shadow. You do not have to avoid certain people, places, or feelings to feel in control of your body. Could you be holding yourself back from being your best self? Kind of like self-sabotage? Do you have difficulty trusting others or building bonds out of fear they are just going to leave you? This could lead to experiencing difficulty maintaining any type of relationship.

I focus on EMDR, blending it with other proven therapeutic methods.
Many of the people I work with look put-together from the outside. Inside, though, there's often anxiety, guardedness, or a deep exhaustion that's hard to name. Relationship wounds, attachment trauma, fear of abandonment, and people-pleasing tendencies can quietly chip away at self-confidence. Past emotionally abusive relationships or a difficult childhood can make it genuinely difficult to feel safe. What most people are looking for isn't a dramatic transformation. It's relief from the inner critic, less constant worry, and the ability to feel grounded and at ease with others and with themselves.

Using EMDR and nervous system work, we decode your “nope” responses, reduce shutdown, and rebuild desire in a way that feels natural—not forced.
Let’s be honest…
You’re not broken—you’re just tired of Googling low libido women and wondering why your body didn’t get the memo. Maybe you avoid intimacy and feel guilty, or you’re stuck in your head, unable to feel anything. You might love your partner, but intimacy issues in relationships are making things feel complicated… or just meh.
Here’s the truth: your body isn’t the problem—the pressure is. The past might be, too.
I offer sex therapy for women who are done performing and ready to reconnect with their body and desire.

Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.
Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.
What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
