My practice helps clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma manage symptoms through an attachment-based model, grounded in CBT.
I tend to be warm and down to earth. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client. I am trained in EMDR to assist with managing traumatic memories and triggers. I also have training in the use of DBT skills to assist with emotion regulation. I believe in client-led sessions and therapy moves at the client's pace.

I’m currently accepting new clients from MD for online sessions, with set slots and flexibility week to week. Because of my own life experience (HI, MTHFR, MCAS, mold poisoning), I work with people with chronic illness. So many of us have been medically gaslit and even shamed for the way our own bodies work, and of course this affects our mental health! I take a holistic, integrative, and functional approach to mental health, recognizing that our well-being is shaped by biological, psychological, environmental, spiritual, and cultural influences. My clients are seekers who want to heal, and they are looking for someone to walk with.

You've just taken a positive and important step towards the possibility for change and personal growth! Perhaps you find you're experiencing adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, sadness, daily life conflicts or career issues. Maybe you're facing uncertainty or you're at a transition or turning point in your life. The complicated feelings of distress, anxiety, depression can be immobilizing. Life is challenging and my experience has taught me how valuable psychotherapy can be towards forward movement and meaningful change.

Mental health is not just about our emotions or thoughts. It affects our physical, social, spiritual, and communal well-being. It is all connected, and all important. This is why I use an integrative, holistic approach to therapy that focuses on the whole person, rather than symptoms or a diagnosis. I come with an inclusive, anti-oppressive, feminist perspective. Sessions can include a variety of "tools", including reflection, art and creativity, mindfulness, and other practices that are meaningful to you. Harmony Tree Counseling & Wellness is about nurturing a deeper sense of well-being and connection to live the life you want.

Life can be a challenging journey. How are you at navigating the bumps in the road? Do you have the skills you need? Are you feeling disappointed in yourself and often frustrated with others? Is it challenging for you to express your needs in ways that you feel heard? When you are upset or frustrated, have you pushed others away, sabotaging relationships? Is it difficult to set and achieve goals? Understandably, frustrations intensify when efforts are unsuccessful. If you have thought "life will get easier when ..." and you are still waiting at a long red light, let's talk.

Welcome! I am Trini-American, first generation college graduate and proud Bowie State University alumna. I have a lax/laid back approach to meeting clients where they are during vulnerable and challenging times. I work with adults between the ages of 20 to 35. If you're feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, struggling in relationships, battling self-doubt, or carrying the weight of unresolved childhood wounds you're not alone. Many young adults reach a point where the coping strategies that once helped them survive are now holding them back from fully living.

Accepting new clients June 2026! Starting therapy can feel awkward or scary, especially if you’ve never done it before or you’re worried about being judged. I get that. My style is warm, conversational, and real. No jargon or pressure, just a space where you can talk honestly about what’s going on and not feel like you have to filter yourself. Many of my clients are people who tend to hold things in, help everyone else first, or feel like they should have it all together. If therapy has always seemed intimidating, my goal is to make it feel like a genuine conversation, not a cross-examination.

At Aeris Counseling, I see therapy as a space shaped by change — much like clouds in the sky. Clouds remind me that life is layered, ever-shifting, and always moving toward new forms. In the same way, I believe therapy offers room to hold what feels heavy, to notice what is transforming, and to discover new ways of being. You may be carrying grief, navigating cultural transitions, adjusting to family dynamics, living with chronic pain, or facing fertility and postpartum challenges. The first step into therapy is often the hardest — it doesn’t require clarity, just openness. And by being here, you’ve already begun.

Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
