My techniques are versatile, effective, and efficient with problems and symptoms from A ( anger) to Z (zippers, or the fear of) -- so I can probably help with your challenge, issue, or problem.
Want to change your life, but not sure about (or done with) conventional therapy? Want less talk and more action? A holistic approach? I combine coaching, energetic, and therapeutic techniques to help clients solve problems by quickly figuring out what's keeping them from getting what they want out of life, "healing" the past, and changing limiting beliefs, troubling emotions, and unwanted behaviors. Clients (including therapists) describe me as "compassionate, knowledgeable, dedicated, perceptive, productive. . . " And while I don't take insurance, I try to be affordable to anyone who thinks I might be right for them.

I see people dealing with anxiety, anger, and/or self-doubt.
We'll do serious work without unnecessary seriousness. We'll replace judgment with curiosity. Many people try to change by pushing themselves harder or being tougher on themselves. Instead, therapy here is about understanding your own mind better and learning to choose how you respond, instead of being pushed around by your thoughts and emotions.

The ideal client encompasses an individual who wishes to receive assistance and willing to work toward short and long-term goals. I am seeking to work with individuals who are open to suggestions and excited about goal setting as well as goal accomplishments as much as I am. Via telehealth, I enjoy collaborating with clients to help them develop a deeper understanding of themselves and a corresponding ability to live a more genuine and effective life. I meet clients where they are, rather than impose a framework, so my approach is tailored to you. My treatment skills, honed over many decades of work with a variety of clients presenting with a wide array of problems, are supplemented by a diverse life experience (I was a musician prior to becoming a psychologist) that enables me to provide a broad perspective on the human condition. I frequently rely on humor to soften life's inevitable challenges.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
