Hello! Looking for a therapist can be a daunting process, and searching for one means that you’re one step closer to working with the therapist who is right for you. I feel honored that I may be an option as a therapist who can support you. Therapy can be helpful for navigating the ups and downs of life, and processing internal thoughts in an unbiased atmosphere. It’s normal to have emotions, and to explore them without judgement. I have experience working with clients of all ages, and understand how challenges can impact each person differently depending on their own experiences and circumstances.

If ya'll are ready to grow, I'm ready to walk alongside of you. Are you motivated yet confused and hurting, too? You’re not alone. Relationships are tough and require a lot of work. That becomes even more tricky when the world is in crisis. Or, when you feel like you are in the midst of crisis. To be honest, your partner needs you, your children need you, your friends need you, and your family needs you. But mostly, you need you. You deserve the freedom to vent, unload your fear, and make space for peace and change.

It is not uncommon to find ourselves overwhelmed or struggling at some point in our lives. During those times, having an objective and unbiased person to talk to can provide clarity and support to ultimately foster growth and resilience in your personal narrative. I absolutely love working with clients through difficult life transitions, relationship issues, intimacy, LGBTQ+, sexuality, kink, and ENM/Poly relationships. Being able to find your own boundaries and personal integrity through this can be so rewarding. Additionally, I have a soft spot for clients with infertility struggles and determining their own definition of family.

I’m a therapist of 14+ years specializing in helping adults navigate ADHD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the version of themselves they once knew—or the life they hoped they’d be living. My approach is grounded in values-based therapy, helping clients reconnect with what truly matters to them beneath the noise of stress, expectation, and self-doubt. Together, we work to clarify direction, rebuild trust in oneself, and create practical, sustainable changes that support a more grounded and intentional life.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
