I have extensive experience in the field of trauma, in particular with survivors of childhood sexual abuse , child abuse, and child neglect. When working with this population, I have treated issues ranging from but not limited to PTSD, depression, anxiety, attachment, and anger.

I have worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents at risk, as well as adult inpatient and general outpatient settings for adults, adolescents, and children.

As a sex therapist, I specialize in treating all sexual issues. These often include relationship challenges and sexual problems such as lack of desire/low libido, difficulty with arousal, erections, premature ejaculation and trouble reaching orgasm. Anxiety about sexual performance, lost intimacy, sexual abuse , infidelity, menopause, illness and aging can also interfere with sexual satisfaction. Sex therapy may address problematic or illegal sexual behaviors, sexual compulsivity, paraphilias and fetishes. Clients can benefit from exploring issues surrounding sexual orientation, gender identity, asexuality, polyamory and kink.

I began my work in the trauma field while interning at a domestic violence shelter and have since held positions in the field doing crisis work, case management, group facilitation, and therapy. I have worked with children, individual adults, and families. I assisted in facilitating family meetings, therapeutic treatment groups, and provided community-based services for people impacted by trauma. I have provided services in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long and short-term interventions.

Providing a nonjudgmental atmosphere for you to express and explore any challenges that you may be experiencing, I'm skilled in assisting people who are experiencing challenges with codependency, anxiety, depression, and have a special interest in childhood trauma. I am EMDR trained and utilize this approach to help relieve trauma related symptoms, including symptoms of PTSD. I also provide inner child work for those with childhood trauma, to help heal that child part of you that may be hurting.

I am currently licensed at the clinical level (LCSW-C) to practice social work in Maryland. I utilize a direct, yet warm and affirming approach in therapy.
