You’re trying to hold it together as best as you can. You are able to be there for everyone else but struggle to show up for yourself. Sometimes you just feel so down but you can’t quite figure out why. It's been going on for a while now and no matter what you have tried, nothing seems to make you feel better. It may be something from your past that you are having a hard time dealing with or may even avoid thinking about. You feel like no one gets it. I believe that every person has the ability to heal within themselves and that healing starts by expressing our stories. Sometimes we are looking for a guide to accompany us on this journey. I specialize in working with teens and adults who may be feeling "stuck" in their lives through shame, fear, or anger and have experienced childhood trauma and neglect that continues to impact your relationships, identity, and self-esteem. I hope to support you in finding your voice, changing your body and mind's response to old patterns, and being more proactive and in control of your choices.

When we avoid dealing with painful emotions and experiences, we allow emotional wounds to develop. Emotional wounds are just as serious as physical wounds, and need just as much attention and care. When we neglect emotional injuries, we allow the wounds to fester and infect other areas of our life. Our therapeutic style focuses on confronting painful emotions and understanding their role in interpersonal emotional reactivity. For this reason, therapy is intense and emotionally heightened. It brings out individuals' most vulnerable emotions and promotes the expression of the true self.
