A unique perspective of persons as inherently dignified, supported by philosophic and scientific education and study, informs my holistic view of the person sitting in front of me during the process of psychotherapy. With mindful attentiveness and by gently confronting obstacles and threats to emotional health and relational satisfaction in a collaborative manner, the patients I work with are able to experience an increase in personal resilience simultaneous to undergoing the process of cathartic healing. My use of techniques drawn from an array of professional proclivities creates a safe relationship that nourishes innate strengths

I try to create a safe space in therapy for you to be yourself. No positive change can happen without safety. I feel that I provide safety and lots of clarity in helping people sort out their problems so that they may choose to deal with them one at a time. I accomplish this with my clients, just as I do in my own life, through empathy and mindfulness.

My work consists of a collaborative exploration of your needs and hopes in a supportive and culturally sensitive environment. Past and present life adversaries often shape the way we feel and interact. Examining our unhealthy patterns and incorperating our strengths in a trusting therapeutic relationship, can elicit experiences of personal growth, living a richer life and increasing our propensity for healthy and adaptive relationships. I work well with a range of psychological needs and concerns; anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, self - esteem, life changing events and trauma are some of the areas that I welcome in our exploration.

Do you often hear your parent’s or partner’s voice in your head, criticizing you? Do you feel like you can’t stand up for yourself in front of your family? Are you stuck in a job, house, or relationship that you know isn’t right for you but you find reasons to stay? Is something bothering you in your current relationship but you just can’t tell what it is? Many people I work with struggle with trauma from stressful childhoods, families, work, or relationships. I’m passionate about helping survivors of trauma to use EMDR and systems work so they can heal from painful experiences and find freedom and ease in their daily life.

Are you questioning why God seems silent in the midst of your struggles? Do you want to find healing and relief with the help of a like-minded therapist who can integrate your Christian beliefs into this process? You probably often turned to scripture and prayer to feel healed, restored, and alive, yet you still feel stuck. You still find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, or unresolved trauma. And now you might be wondering: Am I broken? Does this mean my faith isn’t strong enough or God doesn’t love me?

Perhaps you feel a quiet nagging—a sense that there's a more vibrant, authentic version of you waiting to emerge. You may be successful yet feel held back by self-doubt, anxiety, or worn-out relational patterns. You don't just want to "fix" a problem; you seek a journey toward wholeness. You are looking for a safe harbor where you can explore your inner world, shed the layers that no longer serve you, and rediscover your innate capacity for joy, connection, and peace. I believe the best therapy helps us remember and reinforce the strengths already within us, while compassionately creating space to integrate parts that hold us back.

I enjoy working with codependency and helping people find self respect and confidence and set boundaries.
Do you have a hard time trusting yourself and knowing what you like, how you feel, how to describe yourself? Have you been in a series of "bad" relationships ( boss, friend, family, love) not sure why you keep repeating the pattern or attracting such narcisistic people? Do you feel anxious and unsure of using your voice and asking for what you want/need? Do you have a hard time setting boundaries with others? Do you feel a lot of shame/guilt over choices you have made and want to let go of those feelings? Wouldn't it be nice if you were treated how you treat others? Do you feel you need to take care of others, but are last priority?

Availability for weekly clients and intensives. Holding space for millennial women to let go of perfectionism, stop people-pleasing, and heal from the past. You feel stuck reliving the past and un-loveable despite "knowing" you are enough. You've done therapy before but found yourself feeling worse. Does this sound familiar? It's not all in your head. Trauma impacts our perspective and causes us to the see the present through the eyes of the past. This impacts everything from our relationships with friends, to sleep and our performance at work. However, healing is possible if we know how to go about healing it.

There is a certain unburdening that comes from naming the things and themes that have marked our lives, especially alongside trusted people. As such, my delight as a therapist comes from getting to walk with you through the process of curiously and compassionately exploring your story. My therapeutic approach is individualized and holistic, incorporating trauma-informed care and evidence-based techniques that reflect the multi-dimensional nature of the human experience. I believe in the power of presence, storytelling, and a little bit of humor for good measure.

This profession is personal for me because growing up I never saw many people who looked like me that were therapist. Additionally, I wanted to erase the mental health stigma in the African American community and bring awareness that just because a person seeks therapy does not mean they are crazy. In my opinion, everyone could use therapy. I don't know anyone that does not have some issues that he or she can be working on in therapy.

I support clients and working through life transitions, trauma, relational intimacy, codependency, cultural expectations, family of origin dynamics, women's issues, self-esteem and substance use.
I help teens and adults understand that engaging in worry, staying in bed, anger, overeating, isolating, and crying is a way to cope or protect themselves after painful, overwhelming and unexpected experiences. My therapeutic process begins in building a relationship where clients feel psychologically safe within themselves to eventually share their past an ongoing experiences with me in order that they can address the impact of their experiences and respond in a more satisfactory way to the present and future. I intentionally affirm and support clients who identify as BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent.

You are exhausted—mentally, emotionally, and physically. You show up for everyone else but rarely feel seen or cared for in return. On the outside, you seem fine, but inside, you’re overwhelmed and disconnected. You crave deep connection yet lose yourself trying to keep relationships intact. You’re the one everyone relies on, but when you need support, no one is there. You’ve prayed, sought advice, and tried self-care, yet you still feel stuck in pain. You’re ready to break free from unhealthy patterns, regain control, and finally feel worthy—without having to be “the strong one” all the time.

What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
