It is not uncommon to find ourselves overwhelmed or struggling at some point in our lives. During those times, having an objective and unbiased person to talk to can provide clarity and support to ultimately foster growth and resilience in your personal narrative. I have a soft spot for helping women and couples through infertility struggles and determining their own definition of family. Additionally, I specialize in working with clients through difficult life transitions, relationship issues, intimacy and sexuality, kink, polyamorous and ENM relationships, body positivity (HAES and IE approach), and overall stress relief.

I also enjoy working with young to middle-aged professional women .
Are you a parent of a young child feeling frustrated by your child's temper tantrums and behavioral problems in school? Are you the parent of a teenager(s) who is tired of dealing with seemingly never-ending disrespect, and you long for drama-free nights and weekends at home? Perhaps you're a teenager dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship and/or friendship problems, and need someone to talk to who can listen objectively. Alternatively, maybe none of these describe you, but you are feeling "lost" and looking for direction, meaning, self-acceptance and unconditional self-love. You are not alone!

I am eager to work with women who are struggling to see more, in short I help you see past your current problems and we look toward the possibilities that exist.
Our approach to counseling is client centered which helps to empower clients to understand their own strengths and how to use that power to make the changes that they desire to see manifest in their lives. Together we achieve the goals established in counseling by the client. We will explore what is possible in the lives of those who struggle to see the bright side of what they are facing in the moment. We just believe that all things are possible! We believe that healing takes place through our counseling practice as we engage clients in this process, lives are changed!

I am a queer woman , and often work with people who are LGBTQIA+, ethically nonmonogamous, and/or living in ways others may deem "unconventional.
“It wasn’t that bad. I should get over it.” Does that sound familiar? Many people shame themselves for being hurt by the past. Shame doesn’t stop the suffering, regardless of what caused that pain. I am a therapist committed to helping people overcome stressful or traumatic experiences so that they can live better lives. Working with me involves finding the root of the problem, like when your inner critic first took hold, and weeding it out. I primarily use EMDR for this, which allows people to process the trauma without having to give details about it.

I also enjoy working with adults, women , young adults, and college students.
Every person is a unique individual and it is important to consider all of the life factors affecting how each client experiences and thinks about life. Such factors may include family life, work, social environment, social supports, past experiences, physical needs (rest, diet & nutrition, exercise, etc.), spiritual beliefs, and mental well-being. I use methods that best meet each client's individual needs, and encourage my clients to work collaboratively throughout the counseling process.

I am committed to helping women and mothers learn how to effectively manage stress and anxiety that accompanies motherhood and other life stressors.
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you feel like you are carrying the weight of the world- needing to have it all and do it all? Do you struggle with your self-esteem and feeling like you are worthy? Are you feeling anxious and having difficulty relaxing? Maybe you feel like you can’t “turn it off”. Imagine a life where you were able to prioritize yourself EVERY DAY. A life where you were able to stop being consumed with anxious thoughts all the time. What if you were finally able to juggle all of the different roles and feel good about yourself again. I know where you have been, I know where you are, and I know where you can go.

Maybe you feel like life is not worth living anymore. Like no one has your back. Maybe you find yourself saying, “I’m going to fail anyway, so why even try?” Or maybe you want to start moving forward with your life, but don’t know where to even begin. It is completely possible to get "unstuck," so that you can begin living again, and not just merely existing. It all starts with knowing that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
