My intention is for our time together to have value to you and for you to notice a difference in yourself not only over time, but immediately as well. I value mental health care that is more than symptom reduction. My emphasis is on human flourishing and helping you create a life with meaning. I use a mind and body-integrated approach to healing, such as increasing awareness of the Gut-Brain connection and incorporating Mindfulness practices along with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you improve your mental wellness using all the ways your body naturally heals itself.

You just found out your partner cheated on you. Now what? Infidelity is a huge crisis in a marriage or relationship. It is incredibly painful. And there is a way through it. If you’ve been cheated on, you have probably been going through a huge roller coaster of emotions – devastated, furious, anxious, miserable. It’s so hard. It can seem like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. You may feel desperate for some sense of stability and relief. You may be reaching for answers. It is such a difficult place to be. Please know, however, that recovery is possible. It really is.

It is my personal belief that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to unravel their thoughts and be present in the moment. With all of the aspects of day-to-day life that keep us occupied, I hope that I can help you take a moment (or several moments) for yourself that you very much deserve. My goal is to listen to my client's personal experiences and use that to shape the person you want to be- or the person you already are, just the most authentic version of yourself. Everyone's experience that brings a client to therapy is unique and our goals together will always be unique to your growth.

You're feeling overwhelmed meeting the needs of your child during an intense outburst of anger. The feelings of inadequacy and exhaustion are starting to take hold as each parenting skill you try to implement falls flat on its face. You keep asking yourself "what am I doing wrong," "why aren't they listening or following directions," or "how can I help my child be the person they are capable of becoming?" Parenting is a huge undertaking for anybody, but now you don't have to take the journey on your own. Para información en español presione el botón de arriba.

We are innately wired for connection, intimacy + pleasure. However, these intrinsic values can be altered by experiences of trauma, physiological factors, + the environment. Part of our work together will center around separating who you think you “should” be as a human from who you actually are as an intersectional being. I work with both individuals + couples to develop an understanding of attachments + sexuality in order to promote intimate relationships with both the self + others. We will explore how to cultivate meaningful connections that enable vulnerability, generate deeper intimacy, unearth desires, + harness pleasure.

I use mindfulness based therapy to help women & couples learn how to ease stress and anxiety, all while strengthening self trust and confidence. Your tendency towards sensitivity and empathy is wonderful, but sometimes those qualities can lead to anxiety, self doubt, and overwhelm.

Is the life you're living not the life you imagined? Do you feel like you have given the best of yourself to others and wonder what's left for you? Does it feel like you are running out of time and you have yet to discover your purpose? Have you mastered the art of looking "all together" but inwardly it's taking everything you have to keep yourself together? Do you become angry, frustrated, sad, irritated when you think about your future? Are you feeling life has left you without options forcing you to settle for whatever comes your way? Have you stopped dreaming, imagining, and pursuing the once fiery passions of your heart?

I believe that true healing happens when a challenge is addressed holistically, and when the client is seen as a whole person. Therapy with me is a safe space to explore your connection with any uncomfortable emotions, disruptive thoughts and behavioral patterns, as well as, complicated relationships with the individuals in your life. I am especially passionate about working with those who suffer with pain and trauma from the past and who are interested in exploring how it affects their everyday life.

Are you stuck on autopilot, going through the motions, struggling with burnout and finding ways to get your needs met, while focusing on big life transitions and caring for everyone else? I have a passion for helping caregivers and “people pleasers” whose "spirit animal" might be the chameleon. That is, they blend in with what others need but may feel increasing resentment, lack of direction, and burnout as a result. Imagine what it would feel like to prioritize yourself again. You deserve to honor your needs while engaging in meaningful, balanced relationships and living a more fulfilling life in line with your own values.

Have you ever thought, “I’m not enough”, “I’m too weak”, "I'm a failure", or “No one will understand"? Life can be hard, especially for people of faith. Trying to balance your spiritual beliefs and societal standards can leave you feeling exhausted, angry, and hopeless. What would your life be like if you felt true confidence? Imagine going from feeling like a failure to quickly knowing you're strong enough to overcome any situation. This can be your reality. You can truly change your life for the better and it takes less time than you'd think. You matter, and it's time for you to step out of your pain, and into your purpose.

Fit in everywhere and nowhere at the same time? I get it. I help diverse women who juggle multiple cultural identities heal. Maybe you’re the child of immigrants, multiracial or a racially ambiguous chameleon, an expat, “third culture kid”, bilingual (or sad you lost your parent’s language), feel culturally displaced, part of a religious minority, or just don’t quite fit into any one box. You probably feel suffocated by the drive to overfunction, perform, and be what everyone else needs you to be. You might find it hard to get your own needs met and feel unsettled in yourself and your relationships.

The Evening Gatha, one of my favorite Zen chants, has a line that goes "Time passes swiftly by and opportunity is lost." Ain't it the truth? I'm glad you are looking for a therapist to help you through the things that are holding you back. I work with independent ADULTS (sorry, work with children, teens, or couples is outside of my areas of expertise) who are ready to take an honest look at the trajectory of their lives. What better time than right now to make a course-correction? It's not going to be easy, but nothing worth doing ever is. A vital lifestyle is available to you. You just need to take the first step.

How can I find a therapist in Baltimore?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
