I work with adults and couples who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Many of the people I see are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, or major life transitions. Others come in simply knowing something isn’t working the way they want it to—emotionally, relationally, or personally—and are ready for change.

As a licensed psychologist, it is my privilege to assist couples and individuals who are having relationship difficulties, are struggling with transitions in their lives, or are coping with a mental illness. In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment for you to explore your concerns, gain new insights, and learn new coping skills. I help couples and adults live happier and healthier lives by understanding the roots of their behaviors, being able to communicate more effectively, making necessary changes, and learning to accept things that cannot be changed.

I've worked with adults, children and families for over 30 years. I believe therapy is a shared journey, where we build on your strengths. We'll develop a safe place for you, as you re-discover lost aspects of yourself. Life is tough and having non judgemental support of an understanding therapist, can help with sensitive areas. I work with trauma issues, helping people move through traumatic experiences so they have fulfilling relationships and joy in life. I'm accepting new clients, depending on your availabilty.

Anxiety. Depression. Trauma. OCD. Marital discord. All relevant, all common, all necessary to address. However, one must remember who is hidden behind all the pain and struggle. YOU. Therapy affords the opportunity to peel away the layers and learn to understand yourself better. Therapy helps facilitate the healing of pain, the reduction of symptoms, and the triumph through the various struggles we all face in life. My therapeutic approach is designed to help you discover and understand you within your context and story, to then be able to better address the symptoms and barriers you are facing in life.

The goal of therapy isn’t to ‘feel better’, although that should be one of the outcomes. The suffering we experience is rarely a malfunctioning of the brain- it is usually in response to real challenges and is an important way to prepare ourselves for a developmental leap. When we are suffering, our brains release hormones that promote ‘neuroplasticity’, our minds begin to reexamine outdated narratives, and our relationships are challenged with the need for deeper vulnerability and more skillful communication.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve spent a long time being strong for others, pushing through pain, or feeling misunderstood. I believe therapy works best when it feels real, collaborative, and safe enough for honesty (even the messy parts). My style is warm, affirming, and direct. I balance compassion with gentle challenge, humor when appropriate, and a strong belief in your ability to grow. I don’t believe in shaming or “fixing” people, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, break unhelpful patterns, and build a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.

In your daily life, you're a competent and confident adult - you've done the tough work of shedding life scripts that don't suit you and perhaps even reclaimed your power as a LGBTQ+, nonmonogamous, kinky, or neurodivergent person. When things get tough in the relationships that matter the most, however, you find that you feel alone, stuck, or adrift. You know there's a worthwhile life beyond stress, grief, and anxiety and you're ready to take it back.

Hi there! Trying to figure out who to trust with your story isn’t easy, and you deserve a space where you don’t have to perform. I help teens and adults navigate trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and attachment style patterns in a warm, authentic space. You may have spent so long managing other people’s emotions that your own needs feel unclear. Maybe you’ve learned to stay small or caretake everyone else to feel safe. Therapy with me is relational, compassionate, and grounding. Together, we’ll explore how your past shapes your current patterns, regulate your nervous system, and understand your emotions to rebuild your connection to yourself.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in repeating conflict, emotional shutdown, or ongoing uncertainty about their relationships. Many of my clients are high-functioning and capable in work or school but struggle with anxiety, grief, overthinking, pressure to perform, or difficulty expressing what they actually need. I also work with people navigating identity questions, non-traditional relationship structures, and major life or relationship decisions. I work from an affirming, trauma-informed, non-pathologizing lens and recognize how social and cultural factors impact mental health and relationships.

We could all benefit from an outside perspective during life's stressors. I am here to listen, support, and empower you on your journey to clarity and making meaning from your experiences. Seeking support is a courageous step, not a sign of weakness.  Especially during the chaos, it can certainly be painful to feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn whether personally, professionally, or both.  My approach co-creates a judgment-free space where you can explore your challenges, uncover your inner strengths, and gently cultivate hope and resilience.

My ideal client has a problem that they may not know how to solve. They can have a range of issues including occupational distress, wellness coaching, relationship discord, and/or emotional rationalization. The ideal client would want to establish a clear understanding of the current situation, identify clear goals or transitional plans, and clear steps towards achieving their goals. I also believe that the ideal client would want sincerity, science based psychoeducation, and to feel honored in the therapeutic alliance.

My ideal clients have recently experienced a traumatic event(s) and need a safe, supportive, and knowledgeable environment to process and heal. I guide clients through this stage by helping regulate the nervous system and stabilize and adjust life to prioritize functionality through symptoms. I help clients process their trauma deeply, appropriately, and safely using evidence-based trauma treatments, including EMDR. They have experienced complex trauma (childhood trauma, abuse, neglect, relationship trauma, trauma related to ongoing war/natural disasters/mass causality, etc.)

I am a Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing for over 116 years. I work mainly with adults experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, trauma (including PTSD), psychosis, substance abuse, or more general life and relational stressors. I believe in a person-centered approach, providing a non-judgmental, safe space to work on identifying root causes of maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and to develop an awareness into a healthier, more integrative sense of self and of the world.
