My ideal client wants to explore their reactions, life events, and internal states like their thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. They do not need to feel extra motivated or fearless but with curiosity and a willingness to explore and see what comes up. Perhaps you need help focusing or communicating with a partner, friend, family member, or workplace associate. Maybe you are trying to process difficult events. Maybe you would like to maintain mental health and perhaps find a higher level of functioning for yourself through self-development. I am open to working with many different goals and philosophies.

You may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, constant worry, or a heavy sense of sadness that makes everyday life harder than it should be. Your mind may race with overthinking, or you may feel drained, discouraged, and unsure of yourself. Even when things look fine on the outside, inside you may feel stuck or not good enough. Still, part of you hopes things could feel different - that you could find peace, meaning and purpose. You want relief from anxiety or depression—and a chance to feel calmer, more hopeful, and more like yourself again.

Not all therapists are the same. I help my clients find practical solutions to the issues facing them, and together we find ways to change the patterns behind these issues. Whether depression, anxiety, or dealing with a difficult life event, the situations facing us can feel overwhelming. For over 15 years I've empowered children, families, and adults as they move toward their goals. I am experienced in school and community settings, as well as inpatient, and I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and orientations.

You’ve been doing your best to hold it all together—but depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or maybe just not feeling like yourself can make everyday life exhausting. You’re ready to feel more grounded, confident, and at peace, yet stress, uncertainty, or old patterns keep pulling you back. Maybe you’re an athlete carrying performance pressure or someone trying to heal while moving through systems that weren’t built for you. You’re searching for a space that feels safe, affirming, and culturally aware—a space where your voice is heard, your experiences are validated, and your healing truly matters.

Our work will focus on reclaiming your personal power, living as an expression of your values, and growing your capacity to create change in your life. Expect a process-oriented approach emphasizing your engagement and commitment; a holistic worldview that reflects the interdependency of ourselves in both the broader world and in the constituent parts of our lives which can invite distress when compartmentalized and fractured; and a gently challenging style that will hold you to your ideals, your utmost honesty, and your personal vision of a life well-lived.

Accepts Bluecross BlueShield, United Health Care, John Hopkins, Cigna, and more! “What if” thinking and self-doubt follow you from the moment you wake up until you fall asleep. You feel exhausted from having to repeatedly prove to yourself that you do not agree with these thoughts, yet despite all your effort, you still find yourself engaging in rituals just to feel a sense of relief. Over time, the fear never fully fades, leaving you drained and worn down by the constant anxiety.

You’re not broken — you’re searching. Maybe you’ve found success in your life, but something still feels hollow. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by a loss, a transition, or the steady pressure of being human in a world that doesn’t stop moving. Or maybe you’ve started asking big questions about life: Who am I now? What really matters to me? How do I live fully knowing life is fragile and uncertain? These questions can shake your foundations — but also open the door to deeper meaning, clarity, and freedom. I get it: as an adult with ADHD, I know what it is like to yearn for answers to these questions, too.

My ideal client has a problem that they may not know how to solve. They can have a range of issues including occupational distress, wellness coaching, relationship discord, and/or emotional rationalization. The ideal client would want to establish a clear understanding of the current situation, identify clear goals or transitional plans, and clear steps towards achieving their goals. I also believe that the ideal client would want sincerity, science based psychoeducation, and to feel honored in the therapeutic alliance.

Hi, and thanks for checking out my page. I'm a couples therapist who practices Emotionally Focused Therapy (an evidence-based practice), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychedelic-assisted therapies. In my career I've seen a lot and worked with many different kinds of people; hence, I'm professional and nonjudgmental. I enjoy being a social worker and therapist for all types of humans, but I specialize in serving queer and TGNC couples. I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for couples. My belief is that being a person is hard, and the world is a scary place, but good relationships are what help us to heal and feel safe.

Accepting new patients as of March 1st. You might struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply a sense that something important is missing. You may feel like you have to keep your emotions under control, or that opening up to others doesn’t come easily. Maybe you’re used to relying on yourself, but also feel a pull for deeper connection, creativity, or meaning.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in repeating conflict, emotional shutdown, or ongoing uncertainty about their relationships. Many of my clients are high-functioning and capable in work or school but struggle with anxiety, grief, overthinking, pressure to perform, or difficulty expressing what they actually need. I also work with people navigating identity questions, non-traditional relationship structures, and major life or relationship decisions. I work from an affirming, trauma-informed, non-pathologizing lens and recognize how social and cultural factors impact mental health and relationships.

I work primarily with people who have experienced trauma and couples who are looking to work on their communication. Clients and couples who are introspective tend to thrive in therapy with me. If you often ask yourself, “What makes me feel this way?” or “Is this normal?”—you’re not alone. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more, helping them explore their thought patterns. When we understand how we think, we can better understand the behaviors that follow. My sessions focus on uncovering those connections and building insight that leads to meaningful change.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
