My focus when facilitating groups or individual sessions is self-empowerment and challenging negative perspectives with more positive outlooks. Life can sometimes feel overpowering, and obligations that need to be met can also seem unbearable at times. Still, I believe there will always be some good in what may all seem bad at the moment. I have found my theoretical orientation - cognitive behavioral therapy has helped many of my previous clients reduce stress levels, cope with untimely life changes such as relationships and other losses, and ultimately feel more grounded within their circumstances. I look forward to assisting you!

You’re constantly overthinking, feeling completely disconnected from the people around you, and wondering why everything feels so heavy. You don't have to navigate this isolation alone. Together, we will focus on understanding these patterns and developing the practical tools needed to manage intense emotions. Relationships take work, but you can learn the exact communication skills needed to break out of old, frustrating cycles. If you are ready to put in the effort, a clear path forward is possible, and we can build it together.

Navigating life’s transitions (career, relationships, life stages, etc) is exhausting when you're not at peace. You may function well on the surface, but inside, things are shaky. You likely want to stop just "surviving" and cultivate self-worth that remains stable no matter what changes around you. My clients often struggle with a harsh inner critic, have difficulty setting boundaries, or have lost their sense of self. I see therapy as a partnership where you set the pace. We'll work together to deepen your understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and motivations so that you can move forward in your life with clarity and strength.

People find me relatable, trustworthy, and consistent as we work together to address difficulties they bring to treatment. Some want to explore their lives more deeply and are curious about dynamics that are felt but not yet clear. Relationships and work may repeat unfulfilling patterns, be overwhelming, or seem fragile or complex. Happiness, energy, fun, or feeling relaxed may be out of reach. Together, we can approach what may be troubling or confusing. Treatment can help make some sense of anxiety, depression, complex grief, trauma, and other stressors.People who meet with me appreciate feeling supported and better understood.

I specialize in supporting adult women who are high-functioning yet contending with depression and anxiousness, codependency, restlessness, and detachment from themselves.
Before becoming a therapist, I served as a college administrator helping students advocate for themselves, supporting faculty in building equitable learning environments, and creating spaces for collective healing. That background deeply informs how I show up in session — always attuned to power dynamics, cultural context, and the many ways systemic injustice affects mental health.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to push through, carry it all, or go numb just to survive — I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone. You deserve space to feel, to breathe, and to be seen.

The stories we tell ourselves about our lives are powerful. In therapy, we can explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape how you’re feeling, and work toward changes that help you live more in alignment with your values. I enjoy working with high-functioning adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, people pleasing, perfectionism, and self-esteem concerns. I also have experience supporting individuals exploring sexuality, gender identity, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I work from a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing lens and recognize how social and cultural factors can impact mental health.

I believe mental health care should be viewed just like physical health care, something we all need but in different ways at different times – sometimes an emergency needing acute care or maybe specific ailment, other times you just need a check-up and to check in.

Daily life can be stressful! Many people experience depression and anxiety at different times during their life. As someone with lived experience, I understand how hard it can be to stay present when thoughts and feeling are overwhelming.
Today I’m a psychotherapist specializing in Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and complex traumas. I spent many years in general mental health practice before working with veterans at the VA. There I began using evidence-based treatments for PTSD. After retiring from the VA, I focused more deeply on specialty OCD treatments. I have also continued to work with Anxiety, PTSD and complex traumas.

Are you tired of repeating the same patterns but feel overwhelmed with where to begin? You may struggle with perfectionism, anger, shame, or avoidance and want to understand why you react the way you do. If you value insight and are willing to look beneath the surface rather than just manage symptoms; if you want real change, not just temporary relief, welcome.

As a queer, Latine, cisgender man, it is my passion to support the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC community in our own collective liberation. Often counseling can feel like a non-inclusive space, and my work has focused on providing a healing space where clients feel comfortable being their genuine selves, free from judgment and guilt. Sometimes it feels like many of us move through our day wearing a mask to “fit in,” which is a heavy burden to bear. Together we can work towards removing this mask by helping you tap into the parts that already exist within you - authenticity, a nice splash of self-compassion, and a healthy dose of empowerment.

Life presents us with a full range of experiences - some we enjoy, some that challenge us, and all with potential for learning and growth. Psychotherapy can be a supportive process that helps us make sense of situations we’re in and find a path forward that’s in line with our values.
Through the therapeutic process, we might increase our self-understanding; develop insight into and improve our relationships; expand our capacity to work with emotions; navigate transitions, loss, or grief; develop skills; grow our self-esteem and sense of effectiveness; and deepen our sense of connection to self, others, and the larger world.
