We are all born with eyes, but learn how to see. Our self and worldview are shaped and molded by traumatic experiences, intimate relationships, and occurrences in the greater world around us. Our culture teaches us to conform for love and acceptance, to change our bodies and beliefs to fit the status quo, and to value working over living. Through the process of therapy, I will collaborate with you to uncover your wisest, most authentic Self and harness your strengths ultimately to learn how to navigate life’s ebbs and flows connected to your values, needs, and desires.

I use therapeutic techniques including mindfulness, parts work/shadow work and Brainspotting.
Hello, I am the founder of Ancestral Roots Reiki. Starting my career in social work, I noticed gaps in what I was able to provide in helping individuals heal from trauma. I now identify as a psychic psychotherapist incorporating both mental health therapy and psychic guidance into my work.
My specialty populations are women with complex trauma histories, survivors of intimate partner violence and human trafficking, race-based trauma and children/transitional aged youth at-risk of incarceration or legal involvement.
I value modalities centered around non-judgment, attunement, empowerment, and self-healing.

I offer talk therapy, brainspotting, and am a board certified supervisor for clinicians looking for supervision.
Hello and welcome! I feel that everyone has the ability to change their life for the better when the conditions and time align. It is my belief that there are real reasons that we act and react in the ways that we do. Sometimes those patterns and reactions continue even after the original reason is no longer present. My goals as your therapist are first to provide a safe, authentic and judgment free environment where you will be able to explore and work through those difficult parts of your life, and then to support and gently guide you on your journey to better living.

I integrate relational therapy with inner-child work, brainspotting, and some CBT, always tailoring to what feels best for you.
I work with women, queer folks, couples, and helping professionals who are insightful, motivated, and ready to dive deep. My clients often come to therapy navigating identity, trauma/dissociation, anxiety/OCD, or depression — and they’re looking for a space where they can be both challenged and supported.
My approach is warm, grounded, and real. I show up as my authentic self and value creating a strong, collaborative relationship built on trust and mutual respect. I’m someone who’s not afraid to go to the hard places with you, and I also believe in the healing power of humor, curiosity, and connection.

When words aren’t enough, I draw on my training as a certified Brainspotting practitioner to support healing at a deeper nervous system level—where the body often holds what the mind may not yet be ready to express.

Grief has a way of touching not only our emotions, but also our sense of meaning, purpose, and connection. You may find yourself asking: Who am I now? How do I begin again? Whether you're mourning a loved one, anticipating a loss, facing an ambiguous or unacknowledged loss, or navigating a life transition, your pain is real—and deserving of care and presence.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.
Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.
How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.
How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
